The affidavit makes it seem like he suffocated her right after he brought her in the house, after discovering her on the ladder. I think there's a lot of missing info there. JMO

I think we're missing a whole lot of the details. This is just a probable cause affidavit. It's just mostly the officer documenting what the perp said to him. It doesn't even begin to touch on all the evidence they've collected. :( I dread the coming details. :(

Where are people reading that her being on the pool ladder was why he killed her? Some are saying he was angry that she was there? I don't see anything in the pdf about motive, just what he did. As far as I can tell, it just says that's where she was when he grabbed her.

Is there another pdf with more info? I am looking at this one:

http://ftpcontent.worldnow.com/kfvs12/news/Senath_probable_cause.PDF

I've seen people ask if that could be the motive, and ask in an incredulous way, but I haven't seen anyone state that's the motive?

Okay, does SM's house look odd to you all? It's like they took part of the house and made a larger enclosed carport. Look at the roof line in the front and look how they widened the driveway.

I wonder what he would need a larger carport area for that some of the house would appear to have been taken to do so...

In relation to this case, he probably was able to pull right into the enclosed carport and load Breeann and the bike up real close to the door of the house without really being noticed, until he was pulling out onto the road.

I wonder if he was one of those weirdo freaks about his yard. The kind that think they have a perfect right to shoot dogs, cats and humans who walk on their grass.

Oh! I wonder if neighbors have been missing pets? I don't think this is anything new for him.

Did the parents look for her for about 45 minutes before calling LE or did they call LE immediately?

I don't have a link, but I believe that I read they looked for her for about a half an hour or so before calling 911. I remember people complaining that they tried searching on their on for a bit before calling LE

This is when a timeline comes in handy. If they were looking for a white van since 8/6/11 and SM wasn't arrested until 8/12/11, that is a long time to determine the white van belonged to a SM living on the same street.

Something is just off!

I thought we didn't know what kind of vehicle he has? I'm wondering if he might possibly be the neighbor who said 'white van' to LE to throw them off himself.

I believe their statement was that they looked for 30 to 45 minutes before calling LE.

I agree...it doesn't say why he killed her. I don't understand if he told them exactly where he put her in the water, why they haven't been able to find her yet?

A couple pages back some were saying that he was angry she was there, and I got the impression then that they had read something about that. Plus there had been a post saying that SM had signed a statement, so I thought there was something I hadn't read. I can't even find that last post now, so I dunno... but I'm going to go with what you're saying and assume it's just speculation.

I don't think she is in the water. If I had to guess, she's out by the training wheels somewhere.

ETA: LE has tried VERY hard with the techniques used at the river(s) to locate her. Look downstairs.

I wondered about that, too.

No, there's nothing in there about motive. I just am reading between the lines - it's odd that he would state it that way. He discovered a Mexican female on the ladder to his pool. I'm thinking this isn't about sexual assault or premeditation - this is about a property fanatic and a bit of a racist.

We don't know the type of vehicle SM owns. I was trying to find out if he actually owns a white van and the purpose of the search early on regarding the white van.

As I read some of the posts, it appears perhaps a white van was spotted in the area.

I am trying to figure out how they got to SM in the first place and was it via a vehicle etc.

The tragedy also has unified a town where the growing number of Latino residents has caused a sense of division, she said.

"You know how it is: You work, you come home, you associate with the people you've always associated with," Miller said. But since Breeann's disappearance, she said, "Everybody stands together. The rescue effort brought everybody out, including people from the next town. I made everybody know that a child is just a a child."

I'm still thinking it's a hate crime. Apparently there was tension if a neighbor made it a point to mention... MOO
Rumor on FB said he lost his job from some bomb threat? That sounds like an anti-establishment threat and a man who was perhaps tired of minorities getting his jobs/moving to his neighborhood ... blah, blah, blah. You know how the rhetoric goes. No need to document the ignorance some feel.

ETA : BBM
Why would the neighbor have to MAKE everyone know a child is just a child?? Sounds like some really racist attitudes to me...

?? I don't think SM had a white van. Not sure wher you are getting that.

IMO they looked for a white van because someone saw one on the street (could have been anyone) until something led them to SM. Likely fingerprints on the training wheels or something like that.

The van and he don't have anything to do with each other (unless it was he who said he saw one)

I've been out this morning and trying to catch up. I may be missing some information (if so, please fill me in!), but if he did not sexually molest her, then my guess is this may be a hate crime and maybe racially motivated (e.g., "How dare a Hispanic little girl get in my swimming pool!"). :(

Thoughts? Again, this is JMHO and something that crossed my mind. I can't imagine any other motive for killing a child "just because", if there is no sexual molestation. Hope this makes sense.

ETA: Looks like deelytful1 and I posted similar thoughts at the same time.

Iirc, LE did say in a news report, they were searching the area where the found the wheels because of an odor. So I think that area was searched.

I edited my post as my thoughts were unclear when I wrote them.
