GUILTY MO - Breeann Rodriguez, 3, Senath, 6 August 2011 - #6

Despite his record in Arkansas, "Nobody would have ever suspected him of this," Kathy Morgan said of Shawn Morgan. "He's a shy guy. He's always working. Neighbors went over to his house to swim."

"Despite his record in Arkansas"
IOW despite the fact he threatened to kill everyone at his company via a bomb
Sigh....

Eddie is the nickname for Edgar. Breeann's father's name is Edgar.

Yes, but we don't know it's the same Eddie, right? That would be something!

I don't think Edgar is in the same business/profession from what I can tell.

Okay, so with his past conviction of the threat, which shows a definite temper/anger problem, it is possible he killed Breeann out of some indignant anger that she dared come into his yard or on his property. Not saying I am convinced that was the sole or true motive, but I can see it happening a little more than before knowing about this past conviction.

IIRC they live directly across the street from the Rodriguezs'

Kathy Morgan said yellow ribbons adorn City Hall and many homes in Senath as the community tries to come to grips with the horrific crime. Her husband is a cousin of the suspect, and she also lives on Ode Johnson Street. She said she feels sorry for both families _ the Rodriguezes and the Morgans.

I wonder what the four people in his bomb threat have in common?

peoples' views (definitions) may differ. My view of a prayer vigil is a service of prayer for the missing in hopes of bringing them home; and a memorial is a gathering for prayer after they are brought home in thanks and rememberance.

Thanks, for clarification.
New-ish to W/S and uncertain about some terminology here.

As you say, lovely that a public commemoration will take place.

I wonder if any Senath church -- or any local building or venue -- would be large enough to hold all who would otherwise want to attend funeral.

I was just noodling on this. On Thu Aug 11, after the 3 pieces of evidence were found, LE brought out both scent and cadaver dogs. They said they did so because they got an odor.

What I'm wondering is if this might be something we could add to our clues about what evidence #3 was.

The new canine units are serving two roles in the search. One group is comprised of scent dogs that Police Chief Omar Karnes says are working on a newly discovered scent in the target area. The second are cadaver dogs, whose purpose is to detect the remains of deceased people.

NBC News reports that the searchers are hoping those dogs wouldn’t find what they are trained to recover.

See the video with the article for Chief Karnes saying they had an odor.

I would like to know if they've had any other harassment over the years - even hang up calls etc that couldn't be traced.

Reading those notes, it's so hard to reconcile the description of Morgan by a neighbor as "meek". He sounds anything but meek. Meek on the outside, boiling rage on the inside? A ticking time bomb? (Pardon the pun. :))

To several who have asked- my public record research indicates that the father and SM both have Paragould AR (where that plant/bomb threat was located) , Kennett Mo and Senath MO listed as cities lived in. If that info is correct of course. I believe someone else (hi! sorry, I forget who you were?) had caught that tidbit recently also. When I originally looked, I was wondering if there was any 'history' between the 2 parties..........and MAYBE there was? Now with the bomb threat thing??

ETA-I went back to the previous thread- I believe it was laniefi, that also caught the same cities thing:)

I know, like it was some inconvenience that she didn't die faster :furious:

To be honest, it was this statement that said to me he did not see her as a person (human) and thus prompted my mind to say it was either racial or sexual motive. Either one equally disgusting...

:twocents:

Time perception is quite subjective and vulnerable to distortion. http://www.jneurosci.org/content/25/45/10369.full We have each experienced time crawling or flying by. IMO, it makes more sense to hypothesize that his sense of timing was subject to normal distortions for normal reasons than to hypothesize that the distortion was caused by objectification - which afaik is not known to cause such distortions.

How on earth did this 'guy' (ugh) manage to get another job at another plant??????????? Would not his record follow him?:banghead:

I was thinking the exact same thing. How did he get a reference from his old bosses. " Yes, very good worker, except for the bomb threat incidents."

There are so many excellent, well qualified and unemployed applicants and he gets hired ?

Maybe he was able to find employment because there are tax credits for businesses willing to employ disabled workers.

Since it appears he pled down to a misdemeanor, perhaps they were none the wiser. The laws are also somewhat strict about what a potential employer can ask of the former.
