A nun is missing from her O'Fallon retirement home, police said Saturday.

A family member called the police department to report that Carol Donohue was missing from Sisters of the Most Precious Blood, a facility in the 200 block of North Main Street.

She was last seen checking out of the retirement home at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Officials believe she is in the early stages of dementia.

Donohue is 75, weighs approximately 145 pounds and is 5'7".

Police believe she is traveling in a white Chevrolet Cruze with the Missouri license plate KA2-D0C.

Friends said she recently talked about going to James Clemens Mansion in St. Louis. However, the building recently burned down.
