Snipped:

She knows in heart that someone knows what happened to Arlin.

"It's not like he just vanished and you know people talk," says Griffith. "There's someone out there that knows something, I just wish they would come forward and tell what they know."

It's a message she hopes someone will hear, bringing her the closure she's wanted for the past 25 years.

Arlin, 11, went to ride his bicycle near his house, near Ethlyn, Mo. He has not been seen since. In 2001, Joshua Spangler confessed to killing Arlin at the behest of two other men, pleaded guilty of murder and testified against them. He later recanted, admitted he made up the story and pleaded guilty of perjury. Call the Lincoln County sheriff’s office, 636-528-8546, with information.

His Charley Project page mentions a set of fingerprints found on his bicycle frame that police hoped to identify, I'm guessing they were never able to?

Charles was 11 when he went missing. He was last seen at 5 p.m. July 25, 1991, while riding his bicycle near his home in the Fountain N' Lakes subdivision in Moscow Mills.

The boy's bicycle was later found in a bean field off of North Ethlyn Road, about five miles away from where he was last seen near his home.

Charles was referred to by his middle name in news coverage at the time of his disappearance.

In 2000, Charles' sister, Joy Henderson-Leonard was killed by her husband, Robert (Bob) Leonard, who then killed himself after her death.

Investigators believe that Joy and Bob had crucial information in Charles' disappearance.

Behind paywall Tattoos to remember Arlin Henderson, 20 years after his disappearance

"memory of Joy Leonard, who was Arlin's sister. She was fatally shot along with three other people on March 10, 2000, in Lincoln County.
"I'm hoping Arlin comes home, but we know Joy can't," McWilliams said. "Joy died not knowing where her brother was.""

I wonder who the other 3 were (and if they counted the husband that committed suicide.

"Arlin’s bicycle was found in a bean field on North Ethlyn Road 11 weeks after he disappeared. It was located 10 miles away from his home.

A set of fingerprints was found on it’s frame, and authorities were hoping to be able to identify them. The bike was clean, and the tires were still full of air."

An 11-year-old Missouri boy went missing in 1991. Now, 32 years later, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office thinks there could be a connection with his sister’s brutal murder and notes detectives are looking for help to shed light on the troubling case,

On March 10, 2000, Joy Henderson-Leonard, Charles’ sister, was killed by her husband, Robert Leonard, who then killed himself after her death, according to KSDK.

Investigators believe the couple had crucial information regarding Charles' disappearance almost nine years earlier.

I'm so confused! As far as I can tell this Robert Leonard killed Joy because she was sleeping with another guy. How is that related to Arlin's disappearance? How old was Joy in 1991 and what on Earth could she know!
I'm desperate for updates on this case!

Authorities believe Arlin's sister, Joy Henderson-Leonard, and her husband, Robert "Bob" Leonard, may have had important information about his disappearance. Joy was murdered ten years after Arlin's disappearance, but the crime was not related to his case; his sister was killed by Robert, who subsequently died by suicide. It wasn't until after Joy and Robert's deaths that police learned they had made some statements that indicated they could know something about Arlin's case.

But what!
What on earth could his sister know that she didn't tell LE ....and if if she did make a statement then someone else knows something too. I hope this all leads to a resolution and someone coming forward with info.

My speculation -- it could be that Arlin's sister lived in fear of her husband throughout their entire relationship. He ended up murdering her, so he was capable of violence and not a stable, decent man. It's also possible he had prior victims. IMO.

My heart goes out to the loved-ones of Arlin and his sister for their tragic losses.
