A woman from Dexter, Missouri has been missing for about a week according to officials.

Detective Captain Hank Trout said 39-year-old Crystal Marie Brown-Hart was last seen on Tuesday, April 9 in Dexter.

She was seen again on Wednesday, April 10 in the Poplar Bluff area according to Trout.

He said it is unlike her to leave in this way.

She is described as a 4′11″ white female weighing around 100 pounds.

According to information from officials she was driving a black 4-door Mitsubishi Lanser possibly bearing the Missouri registration XB2D3M.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detectives Eddie Holloway or Cory Mills with the Dexter Police Department at 573-624-5512.

Her FB (last post April 6, 2019 at 3:46 a.m. EST):

Crystal Marie Brown

There seems to be quite a change in her appearance from earlier photos, or at least it seemed that way to me.

Authorities say a woman whose body was found in a submerged car in southeast Missouri had been reported missing more than four months ago.

The Daily American Republic reports that the Stoddard County coroner has identified the woman as 39-year-old Crystal Marie Brown-Hart, of Dexter.

Missouri State Highway Patrol Sgt. Clark Parrott told television station KAIT that a fisherman came across a submerged vehicle while boating Monday night on the St. Francis River. The fisherman took a picture of the license plate and reported it to police. A dive team recovered the vehicle Tuesday near the town of Fisk.

Parrot says it appears that the car had been in a crash.

**BUMPING** for Crystal in April 2024. I pass by her memorial sign every time I go to Arkansas to get my son for visitation. I feel for her family and kids.

Does anyone know if the car was found near a road, as if she drove in accidentally? I see from the map that MO hwy 51 crosses the St Francis River right there in downtown Fisk. In August, the river level is probably a little low. Along most of these rivers there area gravel drives to park near the river for boating and fishing. Could she have driven down one of those in the dark and accidentally went into the river?

This article says her COD was due to a traffic crash and drowning

It says her car was found in the river near US 60, so a little north of Fisk. Maybe she was traveling to or from Poplar Bluff. It says the air bags had deployed in her car, which is consistent with a front end crash.

A witness reported Brown-Hart left a Township Line residence in Poplar Bluff between 3-3:30 a.m. April 10, en route to Dexter. She left alone, driving a black four-door Mitsubishi Lancer.

Officers earlier said her phone’s last recorded ping was at the Butler County and Stoddard County line. The phone shut off at approximately 4:10 a.m. April 10.
JMO, late at night, driving back to Dexter, possibly fell asleep while driving crashed at the bridge and car flipped into the river below.
