Literally posting my first thoughts. Was she pregnant and that is the small purchase? Could the person responsible be someone or possibly a couple of different someone’s she is involved with? Her life is her business..so no judgement just thinking of possibilities..

I saw the article but seeing as they deemed the death "suspicious" with no obvious cause of death I thought it might be an overdose and someone moved the body. The burned car, unfortunately, makes me think more of a crime of violence as opposed to an overdose so I personally wasn't thinking they were related. But the location is pretty close. . .

Unfortunately, identification of a body is not normally made through clothing or one's features. There have been times when a loved one identified a body and it turned out to be someone else of similar age/weight/gender so LE is typically going to get DNA or odontology records to confirm identity first. DNA can take a couple of weeks and if the person hasn't had regular or recent dental care (not uncommon among younger people) dental records may be hard to come by (you'd be surprised how many general dentists don't retain radiographs.) I'm so sorry for Daisa's family.

The indictment mentioned that that he was a person of interest in a missing persons case and a knowingly burning investigation. The news site didn't name him because he hasn't been charged in Dasia's case.

I followed her case when it first hit the news and am saddened to see that no one has been charged with her murder. I went down the rabbit hole and scoured the federal court website trying to "find a name" of the person who was arrested. No luck. So many people with those charges.

I can't find any updates on this investigation. I hope justice is found for Dasia.
