Kennett, MO (KFVS) - A Dunklin County jury has recommended prison time for a Kennett man accused of killing his five-month-old son, according to prosecuting attorney Stephen Sokoloff.

The jury recommended a sentence of 20 years on each of two charges against Eric Hopper, 31, Sokoloff said. Those charges include second-degree murder and child abuse. According to Sokoloff, the jury found Hopper guilty on Thursday after about 40 minutes of deliberations.

A judge set a sentencing date of November 12.
