ST. LOUIS – Homicide detectives with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department are asking for the public’s help regarding a 2017 triple homicide investigation, in the hopes of solving a lingering cold case.

Dominique Lewis, Reeba Moore, and Chanice White were found shot to death inside a parked car in the 4200 block of John Avenue, located in St. Louis City’s Fairground neighborhood. According to Evita Caldwell, a spokeswoman for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting happened around 3 a.m. on Dec. 22, 2017.

Police claim to have received a report of an attempted burglary around that time, and then another call for shots being fired in the same area.

The three women, and a 32-year-old man, were found shot inside a blue Buick LeSabre. The car belonged to Moore.

Lewis, 24, Moore, 25, and White, 24, were all pronounced dead at the scene. The male victim was taken to a hospital. His injuries were not life-threatening

At the time, investigators claimed the victims attempted to escape an attempted home invasion and hid in the car. However, the intruder found and shot the victims before they could get away.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS or text “STL” and a tip to CRIMES (274637). Or call the department’s Homicide Unit at 314-444-5371.
