He was en route to 1125 Grand Avenue, if that's not his home I wonder where he was going.
That newspaper makes it sound like his home was in Grandview but it doesn't look like that address is in that city's limits.

Not really any bodies of water on that route for an accident, if his car is still missing as well.

<<Shaw was last seen leaving his workplace, National Account Systems, in the 600 block of West 39th in Kansas City, Missouri on March 6, 1978. He planned to drive his car, a black 1973 Chevrolet Caprice with the Missouri license plate number N41307, to the 1100 block of Grand Avenue. He has never been heard from again.

Shaw is a native of Columbia, Missouri. At the time of his disappearance, he was the music director at Westside Baptist Church in Belton, Missouri. He has three children. Few details are available in his case.>>

This is my grandfather. I was born in 1980 so I never had the chance to meet him.

His home was in Grandview, he left his office after getting some paperwork he needed, was taking it to Grand then was to be on his way home. This is my grandfather, I was born in 1980 so I never had a chance to meet him

Welcome to Websleuths! I'm sorry for your family to endure the unknown for so long. Did your grandmother or parents ever say what they think happened?

It looks like he lived at 13628 Cambridge Ave in Grandview. He worked at 625 W. 39th in Kansas City, Missouri, and due to stop at 1125 Grand Ave in KC...did he make it to that stop?

From his work to his planned stop is a straight shot down Wornall, or he might have used Ward Parkway. If he was a collections manager, might he have stopped to deliver a collections notice to someone who was extremely unhappy about it and attacked him? Apologies to Catherine80, but was it possible there was cash missing from the company, since it was a collections agency?
