He was just arrested today. The police searched his residence immediately after on a warrant. More information upcoming. The charge is Murder 1.

I think law enforcement are keeping things more under wraps for investigative purposes.

They certainly do that a lot, but what's the purpose of not letting the public know some information to help law enforcement find her because that's a lot better than not finding her at all. Two months is a long time to be missing without escalating the search somewhat. IMO
