Prof, I'm curious about the guardianship filing of the youngest child of MB. Notice the child's initials ELPA? Could MB have had a different last name for some of the time you are searching?

I am fairly confident that MB never changed her name to the bio dad of AB's younger half sister, but who knows!
I know the half sister's full name, yes -- the court record for the 2007 guardianship is still there

The reason that I am fairly sure that MB never changed her name to the half sister's bio father's last name, is that all the Casenet records for MB up until this month of this year are in the MB name, and the half sister was born in 2002 or 2003?

(Hmmn I wonder if the victim of the CB assualt was the bio dad of the half sister? :O)

I did forget to add to my timeline previously the fact that MB had another child in 2003 by a different father -- I wonder if that took place in CA or MO --

Sorry I am not Prof. But I don't believe another last name was involved. The little sis looks to come to be about the time AB bio-dad was getting his assault charge. Think maybe just a fling. Especially since there is no record of him in the gm's custody filing for her. JMO

True. My statement didn't really say what I meant. I should've said that he didn't respond and they were searching for him. It seems a little odd to me that MB would have given the baby father's last name if it was just fling. Maybe just a little more than a fling. Sorry I wasn't clear in what I meant.

I just caught up....I just want to add that I think AB's grandparents have done nothing to show that they were bad parents and/or grandparents. I feel it is so unfair to attack them. There are many bad parents out there that don't have children or grandchildren that to go out and kill someone or commit horrible crimes. Just as there are good parents that have had their children commit crimes. I feel sorry for them. The guilt they must feel. I pray for them as well as Elizabeth's family.

Regarding the "nature" or "nurture" question...

I personally think in SOME kids/people it is born in them...hard wired so to speak

I guess that with a GREAT upbringing, lots of love...some of these people subdue their basic impulses...?

I think Allyssa and Michael Hernandez have a LOT in common

one thing that they made a big deal of in his trial was how/why he picked Jamie to kill...Jamie was small, non athletic....and shy.

Michael was fitness obsessed...but he didn't choose a football player

Allyssa was a fencing expert...she didn't choose one of her former fencing teammates or rivals...she chose a little girl, smaller, weaker

just like these sadistic kids who horribly torture kittens and puppies, house cats and pet dogs....ugh...all weak cowards too

you never hear of them catching a bobcat or a cougar to torture do you?? Or show some "cojones">?>> nab a coyote or a wolf?? their ugly little heads would be torn off...but no they are weak sick cowards

And I totally agree with this. I hope that isn't the way I was coming across. Anyone that has come halfway across country to rescue kids has done more than a lot of bio parents are doing. jmo

No I don't believe you came across that way. I just wanted to state that I feel it's cruel to attack the grandmother. She could have let these kids go into foster care. I believe she did what she could. She obviously cared about these kids a great deal. Even in dealing with AB, I know plenty of parents that would not have even cared enough to seek help for her after her suicide attempt. I just feel that the blame should not be placed on her.

Yes, I agree -- I think the post was in response to the post that slammed KB as a parent; I could be wrong

First post, this case hasn't been mentioned in the news much in the UK so i kind of didn't know much for a while.

What i wanted to add if it hasn't been mentioned already are some things mentioned in a blog i came across while looking things up to get a better picture.

Apparently someone who knew AB messaged this guy and the boyfriend was mentioned as helping her burying the body. Also JM has been posting there a he!! of a lot.

There isn't a 6 year gap between AB and the twins they are 13 or 14 years old. I think they were born in 1996. They are in the same grade and friends with AO and his myspace page puts him at 14. That would have made them 7 years old in the youtube fence video that was made when AB was 13. Thhey look older than that.

Seems that Ms. JM has turned into quite the star.. she even stated that she wants to write a book about her life! I always knew she was just in it for the fame.. And the worst part is they encourage her over on Dave's site!!! Makes me sick! Her life is really not that interesting.. so what.. she knew Alyssa.. BFD! And they're asking her for autographs!
