Seems that Ms. JM has turned into quite the star.. she even stated that she wants to write a book about her life! I always knew she was just in it for the fame.. And the worst part is they encourage her over on Dave's site!!! Makes me sick! Her life is really not that interesting.. so what.. she knew Alyssa.. BFD! And they're asking her for autographs! PUHLEASE!!

Seems to be any little fame she can get, it was in the link i posted if you read her comments on there. Looks like she wants to get a little money out of the situation.

The guys encouraging her are scary, it has a slight grooming feel.

Looks like someone from here was posting there aswell, the person who said we should watch out for news about the BF being involved.

First post, this case hasn't been mentioned in the news much in the UK so i kind of didn't know much for a while.

What i wanted to add if it hasn't been mentioned already are some things mentioned in a blog i came across while looking things up to get a better picture.

Apparently someone who knew AB messaged this guy and the boyfriend was mentioned as helping her burying the body. Also JM has been posting there a he!! of a lot.

however..I would NOT say "apparently".....that blog post was copied from another blog where ONE person posted some anonymous post about a "boyfriend" helping her

there has been NO other people saying that...so far LE does not seem to be going after any guys...and there is just no evidence at all that anyone "helped" Allyssa

anyone can post anything on a blog

that particular blog has a LOT of silly posts...ie, "moms" saying they don't think she deserves the death penalty?? what??? NO one is saying that Allyssa could get DP....supreme court has ruled that juveniles can't get DP...yet some people on "that" blog are posting about it

so far there is NOTHING to show that anyone helped Allyssa

I have read more than a couple versions of this testimony by Cook. It seems they word things a little differently, but thought at least one said she has received the treatment since. I took that to mean she was still getting it. But it is hard to know for sure since each reporter gives a slightly different wording. jmo

Ick....what did she "know"...?? IMHO this kid has had her 15 seconds of fame...maybe she should have been more on the ball when Allyssa told her that she wanted to "kill someone"...

and maybe more kids should "tell" on friends who say weird things....Michael Hernandez also liked gory websites, spoke of wondering what it would feel like to "kill someone"

I really think many newspaper reporters and so called "journalists" don't know what they are doing...that article is so poorly worded and so "iffy"

I would like to ask some questions myself..

if she was hiding the cuts...why wasn't she being "checked" on a regular basis....given her past history??

Her arms may not be the only place she cut, but I haven't heard any rumors about her cutting other places. We DO know that she cut on her arms as there are several pictures proving it. Have you seen the pictures? I know there is a link somewhere on here to those.

I think it was during testimony but she was receiving treatment throu Pathways Community Behavioral Healthcare of Jefferson City. I doubt the cuts went unnoticed. JMO

I know quite alot of people who are cutters (I guess you could say they were all "alternative" aswell ) and they tend to cut other places aswell as the arms, the thighs seem to be a major place for them.

I'm 34 years old, if u saw me you would never know i was a cutter. i had a really hard time dealing with my father's suicide and just needed to feel real pain. i new it was abnormal, i even new why i was doing it, yet i still continued to do it, i also put cigarettes out on my body to feel pain. i have been free of that for 2 years now with the help of therapy and leaning how to manage my life better. i also cut my shins and thighs as well, but i perfered my hands and arms. hope this gives some insight.

There isn't a 6 year gap between AB and the twins they are 13 or 14 years old. I think they were born in 1996. They are in the same grade and friends with AO and his myspace page puts him at 14. That would have made them 7 years old in the youtube fence video that was made when AB was 13. Thhey look older than that.

Yes, I've seen them. Briefly.
But, I don't see why she couldn't have been cutting other places long enough to get them to stop checking, and then gone back to it.
Just thinking through my fingertips.

The Killer's Tell-All Best Friend?? (which honestly.. I wish her parent's would keep her out of the media..) She's real quick to open her mouth now that people are throwing money at her and her face has been on NG, GMA, and the local news.. It's sad that the only way she could get anyone to know her name is through someone else's notoriety.. Maybe she could have been a hero if she would have opened her trap a little sooner.. :doh:

I may be the only one here but I do "blame" the GP's of AB. They allowed her to wear gothic clothing, as well as her brothers. She was allowed unsupervised time with her younger brothers where she put them in harm's way.They did not monitor her online activity (her GM husband is in the computer technology field) so don't say they didn't know how. Sorry I DO blame them. Why wasn't she sent for inpatient care? Obviously they have money for horses, swimming pools,and pool tables. Why not send her to a private boarding school or military school? All these things they could have done.

But then we would not have heard about her or AB. It would be great for her to have said something but it may not have made a difference. AB was already getting therapy and according to JM her GP's were strict and she manipulated and snuck around. I feel really bad for JM. IMO she is easily manipulated and wants acceptance. She says her mother and her are close but I think that is just on the surface. She is a minor and her parents are giving their approval for all the media interviews. Would you be doing that or having your daughter talk with a therapist about the anger she is expressing publically? If she were your daughter and her supposed BF did what AB did wouldn't you be CLOSELY monitoring her online activity now? Would you be okay with your daughter and the posts she is posting and getting?

I do have experience with making a choice between money and 15 minutes of fame and keeping quiet to focus on our son. So I would like to think I know what I would do in their position.

DH and I were in a situation with our son a little over 2 years ago which was news worthy (think Michael Brewer but not criminal but out of negligence and ignorance by others). I am in no way saying that his family is seeking attention. They didn't have the same chance or choice that we did due to the circumstances. They are however staying out of it as much as possible to focus on their son and his healing. Our son was 14 at the time just about 15. We did not contact the media or have huge fundraisers. We did seek out an atty (a family friend) to be a voice for us and keep it quiet. We requested our police dept keep it on the DL. There are many kids he has gone to school with for 5 or more years with that don't know. They think he moved away for a while. They ask him about his scars if they see them lime in the locker room or why he is sitting out an activity. His scars are easily covered as his injuries were his entire chest and thighs. Long shorts and t-shirts cover the noticeable ones. From what I have read Michael Brewers injuries are similar but on his backside rather than his front. The burn % are close to the same. My son luckily did not have inhalation injuries unlike Michael.

I felt "hincty" about that kid from the time I first saw her...dressed and made up like a 40 year old woman LOL....I wonder if that was all for show?? so conservative

I also wonder if she is one of the Morman friends from "church"??

I wonder if the family/church are behind this or ??? Or maybe just her family?

Remember that poor little girl who became "friends" with Casey Anthony, at the urging of her "stage" mother....they were corresponding, hugging...the kid was on tv a lot getting her 15 seconds of fame and so was her mother..then the little girl collapsed and went to the hospital when Casey was charged or whatever???

This might be similar..some people are simply fame w//ores and will do anything for a few seconds on tv or take any available way to make a buck. Watch and see..maybe this kid and her family will start their own "money maker" foundation? (Yeah I am a cynic LOL)

Yes, I'm sure that is precisely what the OP meant to imply.

While it's actually difficult to avoid some of the "goth" icons in kids' clothing today, I do agree with kkmiami that the grandparents were negligent in allowing AB unmonitored access to the internet, as well as so much unsupervised time with her siblings and their friends. Given her history of instability, I find it really shocking that she would even have the means and opportunity to film the incidents that made their way to YouTube.
