It fits in with the comments about being 15 also. So not a sexual assault, but one of rage?

Good thought. What could a 9 year old do though that would enrage a 15 year old if they were not related and/or living in the same house? Elizabeth would have been too young to steal a boyfriend or borrow clothes......

Scary, just scary!

Could she be the elder sister of the person Elizabeth argued with in school that day?

Perhaps she saw or knew something that the 15 year old didn't want Elizabeth to reveal. Drugs? Theft/shoplifting?

With the request for a first degree murder charge and the reports that this person was "known to the family" could it be from an ongoing dispute between the families or the children?

New article: http://newstribune.com/articles/2009/10/24/news_local/068local02olten09.txt

Says a 15-year old to be charged.

Salem

ETA: Thanks Angeleena - you were quicker than I :)

I'm going out on a limb here and saying I think the reports about a female perp might be right. Why else would the Sheriff decline to say if the perp was male or female?

Sounds like our mystery poster just might have had it right...well at least the age anyway. They have not posted since so I'm thinking they probably did have some inside information.

I didn't get to see the comment ya'll are referring to.:(

I'm wondering what a little 9 year old could do to a 15 yr. old acquaintance to get them in such a rage?

Wouldn't Elizabeth just seem like a little kid to a 15 yr. old?

Maybe E. told on the person for something? Or someone the 15 yr. old knew?

I hadn't heard about an argument Isabella. Tell me about it please.

One post by a new user on page 25 post #602 in the first thread for Elizabeth.

This seems more like an ongoing issue to me. Might also explain why LE did not think she was abducted. They probably were receiving tips about some kind of feud?

I dont know anything about it to be honest. Ive seen different stories about her arguing with someone at school that day but then other articles said she argued with a sibling so im not 100% sure.

I think you might be confusing this case with the case of Somer Thompson? She did have an argument at school and with a sibling on the way home.

May you are confused with Somer's case?

I know I have been bouncing back and forth between the two.

I have not heard about any fight.

Now this makes sense to me. I didn't know about the argument in school that day. Do you have a link or an approximate location in the threads where I might find it.

Yes, an older sister...... Elizabeth appears to be in the bigger size range for her age group. Maybe who ever she argued with went home and told her sister and sister thought she should do something. :furious:

Salem

ETA: Okay - I see that there was not a argument ..... so much for that thought.

Here is a theory. The dads girlfriend that went missing had children didn't she? Does anyone know the age of the children? I am just wondering if this could be a retaliation from the missing womans childrens. As in the father took aways someone she/he loved, so they did the same. Who is to say they weren't watching trying to get the courage the whole time and finally did.

anyone know if the grade schoolers ride the bus with the older kids?

when we lived in a small town in IA, my grade school age kids had to ride with the middle school/high school kids. Just a thought. My daughter at that time had problems on the bus, a few older kids had decided they didn't like her for whatever reason and gave her lots of grief daily. Things like that can escalate.

Another article - nothing different: http://www.kansascity.com/news/breaking_news/story/1527120.html

and another which says the area had previously been searched, but Elizabeth had been very well concealed: http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5iL2APTMLoOIa6NBqXxEd_DKqAkDQD9BHJ98O1

Salem

and another that says investigators were led to the suspect by "physical evidence" - wonder if this was the notes? http://www.examiner.com/x-3035-Ever...g-9yearold-found--Juvenile-suspect-in-custody

The dad's girlfriend went missing?

Salem

Yes. Not sure when - but in the 1990's I think - the then girlfriend of this dad went missing. He is/was the main, only ?, suspect.

He is in jail on unrelated charges.

We heard that the mother of this missing woman started some sort of organization for missing people after the incident with her daughter - and that they helped search for Elizabeth. Irony?
