I have not heard this rumor. Could it be possible that the animal graves were pets that died from other causes? When one of our pets die we bury it in a grave.

I have also not heard anything about animal graves.

And yes, you would find a few animal graves (pets) in the woods behind my house.

Also is there a way to post pictures here? I would love to show you all a layout of the land. EO's house is pretty much right off an exit ramp of a semi busy highway... there is a good amount of woods behind the house but the woods directly behind EO's house can be seen from the exit ramp and possibly the highway. And I wouldn't say you could go very far back in the woods behind EO's house b/c there is a farmhouse there (might be abandoned though, not sure) The distance between EO's house and AB's house isn't really all that far, if I was guessing I would say 1-2 football fields apart. From what I have seen on our local news station that the place where they found EO was somewhere inbetween EO's house and AB's house but a little closer to the EO side.

Everyone has seen the Google maps and streetview pics.

And no, the farmhouse is not abandoned. :-) There were tons of sheds/shacks/hunting cabins in the woods though. Mostly West of Galena. I was shocked at how many were out there. We searched all of them that we came to.

Oh, and it is my understanding that the body was found in the woods directly behind AB's house.

My search team was all West of EO's house, starting at Rt D (in EO's yard) to Galena, and then the majority of the day was spent in the woods West of Galena.

Honestly, I am not sure but like I said that I have heard that as a RUMOR and from quite a few different sources. There have been so many rumors flying around this area but I personally am thinking this one is accurate simply b/c I have heard it so many times.

Just a thought that's been mentioned before, but worth repeating, "Aunt Vicki" (Dale's sister), gave "info" early on, and did an interview, is not mentioned at all in Elizabeth's obituary. 2 other aunts are mentioned and multiple others, but no mention of Aunt Vicki. Possibly just an oversight, or possibly she was not close to Elizabeth/her mother, being Dale's sister. She is the one who gave information that Elizabeth was a tomboy.

Elizabeth's obituary from Milard Family Chapels:

If I remember correctly, none of the paternal family was mentioned. The dad and the son was mentioned, but I think the only extended family was the mom's side.

What I am getting at here, is that not only was the aunt left out, grandparents and any of the other relatives on the dad's side was left out. Therefore, I don't think it was an oversight.

Are you pretty certain right behind AB's house? KRCG or KMIZ not sure which one had a triangle with the two houses and it showed location of the body what looked like to me closer to EO's house. Also I have been wondering where is Galena... I thought that road was to Lohman? My parents live only 5 minutes from EO's house and I have never once growing up in JC heard of Galena.

After seeing all of AB's pics on the different internet sites that she has put up of herself, I have to say that she is not normal, (jmo) and I don't see where she was going thought a (phase). To me she is down right scary. If my daughter had brought home a friend that looked like that, I would have taken her to counseling.

Not positive. Just what I have been hearing.

Galena is off of Bittersweet (which runs parallel to Hwy 50) and is West of Rt D. You can find it on Google maps.

Rt D/ Lomo Drive is the road that goes to Lohman.

eta: Galena is a dead end residential street. Was gravel until just a couple of years ago. No reason for anyone to really know where it is unless you or a friend or family member lives in the Bittersweet/Galena area.

Google maps shows 10 houses on Galena. I'm not surprised you have not heard of it.

Is Galena a road? Galena, Mo is way down south so I am not sure where you are referring to either.

go to google maps.

type in "Galena Drive, Saint Martins Mo".

It is a small road off of Bittersweet Way.

EO's house is on the corner of Bittersweet Way and Rt D/Lomo Drive.

eta: The people on Galena were some of the nicest I encountered that day. Many of the residents on Galena (only 10 houses there) came out to offer assistance/refreshments/shelter. They were all very concerned for Elizabeth.

yes, if you google map and see lomo Dr in front of elizabeth's house go to bittersweet and galena rd is off of bittersweet, its the only road off of bittersweet.

wow, just a thought, but wasn't Elizabeth's playmate (the sibling to AB) a twin? As in two?

Another thought. Weren't some of the reports regarding the timeline stating that AB was in the wooded area with the AB sibling/EO playmate?

Perhaps the two graves (if this checks out to be true) were for either the twin siblings or for EO and the playmate/AB sib??

Let's try something a bit different. If you are a local and you have heard a rumor you think is worth repeating then you can post it on Websleuths as long as it is clearly marked rumor and as long as it doesn't violate TOS. --- From Tricia

I am a local... here is the RUMOR I have heard at least 10 times-- Not only were there 2 graves but also that there were graves with animals that had been killed. I have not heard if they were in the same location but I have heard this repeatedly. Now isn't it said that children that kill/torture animals are more likely to take a human life.

I find this very interesting. You will find some animal graves in our backyard but they do not contain animals that have been killed. They contain our beloved pets that died from old age. This rumor specifically states these graves contain animals that were killed. Yikes!

Twins are boys, brothers to AB, EO played with half sister to AB

good point, my backyard is the final resting place of several good old dogs that died of old age (RIP White Dog & Kahli) and various hampsters and gerbils that my children help "inter"

Elizabeth's little girl friend was not a twin.

The distance between EO's house and AB's house isn't really all that far, if I was guessing I would say 1-2 football fields apart.

The distance between Elizabeth's house and AB's house is approximatly 1056 FEET, which is 352 YARDS. A football field is 100 yards (last time I checked). So actaully there are about THREE AND A HALF (3.5 or 3 1/5) football fields between Elizabeths house and AB's house.

Elizabeth's little girl friend was not a twin.

Thanks for the correction. But there were twin siblings in the household, yes? hmmm and there were reports that the playmate and possibly Elizabeth were back in the wooded area with AB? The one where the playmate/sib was not allowed and the same woods that EO found frightening? Interesting IMOO

I am beginning to wonder exactly what Elizabeth found so frightening about those woods. Makes me wonder if "stuff" had been going on back there for some time and she knew about it. Not saying she participated or anything, just that she was aware there was scary stuff back there.
