Guys,

I have just heard from ILC. Let's drop this for now. I'll write more later tonight.

Back to discussing Elizabeth.
Just :snooty:please don't say he's coming crawling back now, LOL.

Can hardly wait to hear what you found out Tricia! Hope it was good news!

My guess is he is the "R" person married to K in the house.

Is it me or does it seem like there is a serious problem with the effectiveness of Child Services all over the country? It seems like there are cases popping up all over that involve children that have at some point been monitored by their respective state authorities. I really think this need to get political attention.

I have read stories about case workers getting fired because of bad monitoring practices, but shouldn't someone at a higher level be held responsible for this? It's criminal in my opinion. I think we, as concerned citizens, need to step up to the plate and start pushing for some changes.

Are any of you folks aware of any groups that are actively (and hopefully effectively) engaged in bringing change to these state agencies? I realize that this is only half on topic, but please feel free to send me messages privately if you feel it better. I feel a responsibility to do something for these kids. Thanks.

I'm with you bigflaw, this is a small part of the reason I am here. Ultimately, I don't think this will be that o/t as it appears when all is said and done. Some balls were dropped somewhere. I'll leave it at that for now.

Sadly, as with most states, the ability to monitor effectively is going to take a turn for the worse I am afraid, becuase of budgetary restraints. Here in MO the governor has ordered twice that spending be reduced because of low revenue (record low!). Just about every job that is not nailed down, has been eliminated, frozen, etc. So essentially, the next thing coming is just straight reduction of staff. Not looking good.

Yes it was me that questioned him "if his friend" knew he was posting here, and I noticed though he addressed post all around mine, he never did answer any of the legit questions I asked. So though I noted some of his rumors, I didnt believe him to be legit.

Since I am new BUT have seen a "shadow" screen name, who is that..someone that got banned?

He did the same with some of my posts until his goodbye post. I think the reference about who cares about religion and if AuntKNP converted was from one of my posts.

IMO that stuff is relevant because it gives us insight into what the household was/is like. AuntKNP's blog entry gives you a look into how the people who spent the most time with AB felt about her.

Hmmmm. I guess a lot of our intuition about you was correct! You didn't fool everyone pal! And what kind of motivation would you have to do something like this. I wonder if by this last post, you are not trying to cover your tracks even further.

I agree I said the stories were not adding up in one of my first post on here.

Agreed. And I wonder who in the house may have to testify for the prosecution IF this goes to court.

Jodibug - when you do a reverse-search of your telephone number, what does it show? My sister-in-law has Magic Jack, and her telephone number is unlisted. When it is reverse-searched, it shows that it is unlisted and doesn't list her name or address, but it does show who the carrier is, along with city and state. I don't know if all numbers like that show up this way, though. Back to lurking now :)

Just checked and mine is not listed on anywho.com.... BUT.... I have only had the number for 3-4 months. So it may just not be updated yet.

Well at this point I will totally discredit the part about Ab's family going to the O family and there being (bad blood) and the phone recording.

  • #570
Does that mean it's long distance to call your next door neighbor?

Yes, it is. But everyone we know has a cell phone with free long distance. Magic Jack also has free long distance nationwide, so it doesn't cost me anything to call out.

Basically though, the only time we ever use it is when someone has lost their cell phone. Then we pick up the house/magic jack phone to call our cell.

With everyone in the house (except my toddler) having a cell phone we didn't really need a house phone. But for $20 a year it is nice to have it there in case of emergencies (like finding a lost cell! LOL)

If he hasn't been to Jefferson in years then he borrowed a Jefferson phone number to call me. The area code is 573. Check it for yourself.

Tricia alot of Missouri has a 573 area code, I honestly am from Jeff and Columbia is 573

I agree it is relevent. He was very defensive about Aunt K, and like someone else said he appeared loyal to the family, but not to AB. I really think he is "R" that he was posting about (Aunt K's husband). We know Aunt K didn't like AB, so I would assume her husband didn't either. Plus Tricia told us his name and that does start with "R".

Sorry but cant recall-- is ILC the person that said the part about the dismissing of people at the funeral?

He is the one that insisted the his friend was not allowed to leave the house, and a local who had searched said that the drive was never blocked, that is when I said "Ut Oh"

No, I did.

I was on a search team and I attended the funeral services at Concord Baptist.

I did not go to the funeral home for the visitation though.

I stated how the family was dismissed from the funeral home. Just the facts of what I saw that day. It was just different from other funerals I had been to.

I do think we were given his first name for a reason and if and when it is all out in the open, it will be of some use and I'm sure very informative. This whole case is so bizarre and has so many twists and turns that nothing will surprise me now.

P.S. I am a real lady rider, I am a mother and I do live in Columbia and I was in St. Martins area the afternoon EO went missing. Believe me I racked my brain, did I see something and would it have been helpful. I was glued to the news that 9yr EO went missing.

I said that I never saw the driveway blocked, and that I was there the day of the "big" search (Thursday), which is also the day that ILC said his friend could not get out to go to an interview.

I rec'd an interesting PM from ILC that day, which I wish I had kept but unfortunately I deleted it cleaning out my box. Knowing that I could not disclose it's contents I didn't think to keep it..... but I really wish that all of you could see it now.

Tricia is welcome to post it if she has access to get it back, verifying (of course) that it was sent to me from ILC.

Thanks, couldn't remember... not that it matters but is Concord Baptist across from Hyvee??
