Silver Alert issued for missing Kearney, MO man

The Missouri State Highway Patrol has activated a Silver Alert for a missing Kearney, Missouri man.

Police say Elmer Schutla, 88, was last seen around 2 p.m. Thursday leaving his home at 111 W. Major Street heading to a car wash in his red 2018 Jeep Cherokee with Missouri license plate 4RC648.

Schutla, who suffers from a heart condition that requires medication that he does not have with him, did not return from the car wash.
