Travis Kalchbrenner, 31, was charged with first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy, two counts of statutory rape, one count of first-degree sexual abuse and one count of fourth-degree child molestation. He is being held at the Cole County Jail without bond.

Poor girl with no one to protect her. It’s absolutely infuriating that her father picked this guy up and moved him into their home. The dad’s excuse is he thought the man was in his mid-20s? Why would you move in a boyfriend of any age for your 15-year-old daughter? Disgusting.

Exactly.. that sad excuse is no excuse at all!

According to online court documents obtained by FOX 2 News, the crimes occurred between Jan. 27, 2025, and March 14, 2025

Copping: A counsel status hearing is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday, preliminary hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 1.

Kalchbrenner: arraignment was held on Monday and Kalchbrenner pleaded not guilty, counsel status hearing is set for 10:30 a.m. Friday.

Agreed.
Somehow that kind of jailhouse "news" gets around fairly quickly... And apparently some inmates do not like this type of crime.

Hoping there is someone who knows and truly loves this 15-year-old who will help her with what she has endured. She will certainly need counseling and probably a doctor's care for how she may have been damaged physically, and she will need therapy and kindness.
