MO - Ferguson mother in custody dispute and 4 kids die in fire, ruled murder/suicide

This mother and all 4 of her children died in a fire in Ferguson, Missouri (suburban St. Louis) over the weekend, and authorities have ruled it a quadruple murder/suicide! What's really insane is that the two oldest kids aren't by the man she was in the process of divorcing. However, their father was also trying to sue for custody of them (9-year-old twin girls) and one source said that the mother was planning to sell the house and move in with a relative, and at least one of the fathers expressed concern about at least one of the adults in the place where she was planning to relocate.

RIP to the precious children who didn't deserve this.

Amen. This is a tragedy all around.

I looked them up on Missouri Casenet, and I saw no evidence of anything like domestic violence. No wonder the fathers were trying to get their kids away from her!

Pruessner posted a picture of herself with the kids on Facebook hours before the murders.

First Alert 4 Investigates was the first to uncover social media posts, which Pruessner made the day before the fire. One says, “Us against the world,” and adds her kids “have overcome so much more in their little lives than they should have had to face.” Another post reads, “Making today one of those live each day like it’s your last kind of days!”

The last post, made before midnight Monday, reads, “All my kids, peacefully sleeping in my bed. Curled up together. Knowing they are loved so fiercely that I’d do absolutely anything for them. This is my favorite moment.”

Hours later, first responders are called to the house fire.

First Alert 4 Investigates is learning more about an ongoing custody fight with the father of Pruessner’s twin daughters. Years of court records going back to their 2017 divorce show a tug-of-war over custody.

In filings, Pruessner claimed her ex-husband “sexually abused” their daughter. He fought back, saying it’s “unfounded” and said Pruessner was “emotionally and physically abusive” to their child. He also accused her of posting about the alleged abuse on social media.

Not surprising. If genders were reversed (i.e. father killed kids) there wouldn't be a single apologist.

Also LMAO @ the lawyer. "Um it's my client's significant others' faults she murdered her children." Sure Jan. Are lawyers actually required to make stupid statements like this?
