Fulton Police issued an Endangered SILVER Advisory for a missing woman.

Police were looking for Gladys Bowers, a black female, age 68, 5'07, 150 lbs, blonde hair (wig), brown eyes, wearing a blue shirt, a blue jacket, unknown color pants, and white tennis shoes.

She left her assisted living home on May 8, 2022, in the 800 block of Jefferson Street in Fulton at 9:30 AM on 05/08/2022. She did not take her medications with her.

Bowers is known to be violent. She is diagnosed with Schizophrenia with Auditory and Visual Hallucinations, Psychosis, Grandiose Delusions, and Disorganized Thoughts.

Officials say she could be with her non-custodial son and that they could be headed to St. Louis.

This looks like it could be a family matter. Maybe Ms. Bowers doesn’t like her assisted living facility, the drugs she has to take or even the interaction with her custodial child. So maybe she left with her non- custodial child believing things may work out better in St Louis. I will follow this for a few days to see if there’s any news. I hope so for Ms. Bowers sake.

NEW BLOOMFIELD — Fulton police are seeking information regarding a missing woman who has not been seen since leaving church on May 8.


According to Police Chief Bill Ladwig, 68-year-old Gladys Bowers was at church that morning and became upset when she discovered her son could not come to pick her up. After that, she has not been seen.


Ladwig said it's possible that she is with her son, who may have picked her up after all. He said she had been known to leave church with him in the past. They may be on their way to St. Louis, although police are unsure of the son's address in St. Louis.


The son is not considered a suspect in a crime and Bowers is considered a missing person.

FULTON — The Fulton Police Department has canceled an Endangered SILVER Advisory for a woman who had been missing since May 8.

Gladys Bowers, 68, was located by law enforcement on May 20 and is safe, according to a news release sent June 1 by the Fulton Police Department.
