Agree.

What is the purpose of gathering the names of LE? What is the purpose of tweeting the public to help you do something you can do on your own? Harrasment and intimidation. JMO

That's the only reason I can think of

Can I clarify that you don't want us to post links to livestreams? I'm trying to do my best at not breaking any rules :blushing:

And by "livestream," do you mean the site that's actually named "livestream," not just anything being streamed live (like Argus, for example)?

And are we needy children, or what?

I also read that fines were doubled if arrested previously. (Treehouse)

Good! They should be! And tripled for third-time, and put under the jail for a fourth, and...

From the article Lovejac linked to above:

Dilworth said hackers published personal information about him on the Internet. “Someone tried to buy a $37,000 truck in my name,” he complained.

Some fellow officers moved, forsaking $100 a month incentives to live in Ferguson. They changed phone numbers.

Take-home patrol cars are now parked at police headquarters. “Imagine having a Ferguson police car parked in front of your house right now,” Dilworth said. “It’s like walking around with a scarlet letter.

IMO, there is a very real and present risk to the police and their families. If there's not some sort of emergency override ability to keep their identities secret during times like this, there needs to be. IMO, JMO, MOO, etc.

[h=1]More protesters arrested in Ferguson overnight[/h]
Overnight law enforcement officers declared that any protesters using language that incites violence would be arrested, according to democratic committee woman of Ferguson, Patricia Bynes.

http://fox2now.com/2014/10/03/more-protesters-arrested-in-ferguson-overnight/

12 protesters and 1 freelance journalist.. sounds like live-streamer to me.

Slowly but surely, LE is retaking the streets. Step by step. Johnson gave them their night that first night, then the next night let people know it's not a free for all. Since that time, one thing at a time, LE has gotten closer to restoring order. I know some wanted LE to come out with guns blazing but I prefer this approach. Frankly, I think it is a safer approach for officers themselves. It's less obviously oppressive. It less apt to rile the citizens. It's given time to let cooler heads to prevail. Certainly seems to be a pattern too. Johnson gives them something (came out and told them they can protest) but then takes something away (no inciting language). I know some people weren't and aren't happy with Johnson having come out to the group, but the first thing that went through my head was ok, what is LE going to do now that will be applauded.

Unless it is CNN, Fox, NBC, etc. you do not link. Livestream is obviously not secure so do not post any links.

They have what appears to be very expensive equipment. I know they present themselves as main stream but I'm not seeing anything else reported but MB. A comment they made the other night made me think that they work for the ACLU. So we are not going to link here to them again. You can watch the protestors yourselves and discuss anything significant but no more chit chat.

There will be enough news coming up in the next couple of weeks because it looks as if LE is starting enforce the laws regarding protesting. I also think that local businesses and residents have had enough and are voicing their concerns. Their right supersede those of the protestors.

Very good article, and it makes my heart break for Sgt. Dilworth and the other black officers in the area.

His wife wishes he were back in Iraq or Afghanistan, because she thinks he would be safer there.

That speaks VOLUMES to me :(

Okay, so no more posting links to ANY livestreams unless they are a MSM. Got it.

But regarding posting what we are seeing on the livestreams (that we are not linking), you said we could discuss it, but no chit chat :waitasec:

Can you elaborate?

Well, yes. Chit chat, "they have signs up", "they are walking down the street". Significant would be police just made an arrest, shots were fired, clergy have joined the group.

Good morning! Lots of arrests last night!

And the most perfect article this morning:

http://www.stltoday.com/news/local/...cle_b71556de-68b1-566f-a6ce-cc02c01b8343.html

All of us here have seen this with our own two eyes :(

they picked a perfect l/e to interview. my favorite quote/good example of how he handles the stress:

He waved to a black man mowing his lawn.

The man waved back.

“He waved and had all his fingers up,” Dilworth said. “I consider that as a positive thing.”

so apparently Bassem's equipment has been stolen from inside his vehicle while he was in jail

he was arrested AGAIN for driving without a driver's license - said he's been arrested more than 40 times for this offense WTH?

he has zero credibility IMHO

hope this link is okay -- love the comment: "you think locking his doors would make a difference? where do you live?" LOL we NEVER leave stuff in plain sight in vehicles in the StL area Just Asking For New Windows

hypothetically speaking (so i don't get a t/out) would it be okay to say

"wth is that girl doing on the yellow line vigorously waving an upside down american flag - she's been there for 5 minutes!!!!!"

or

"they're heading into the residential area - uh oh"

thanks

I do not believe we are seeing the average property owner out there protesting. It seemed to me that many of the folks protesting were young and obviously have had run in's with LE or have friends that have had experiences with getting arrested. To have order in our society we need to have laws enforced.
