Please point to where I said the prosecutor shouldn't. Did Crump use a wrong word? Yes. Does the Judge and not DA empanel a GJ? Yes. Is there apparently an option of continuing without an excused juror or to empanel a new GJ? Apparently. Given the nature of that tweet, again assuming it's legitimate, then hell yes Crump should be calling for a new GJ and it would be negligent of him to not do so. I detest Crump but I can recognize that it is simply lawyering.

Crump doesn't know MO law or basic English but I understand this post was not pointed to me . . . yes, Crump is negligent in knowing MO State law (can he practice here?)

No, McCulloch covered that in his interview on StL Public Radio today. Federal grand juries only investigate federal crimes.

Thank you, Klood, for listening with me! There will be a replay at 10p (in about an hour) on stlpublicradio dot org or whatever the link is . . . http://news.stlpublicradio.org/

10p central -- a great place for pertinent information regarding this case prior to the Twitter post this afternoon

Not trying to seem short in posts. I've been bouncing between tweets and threads to find info and quotes and put things in the Media Thread, so I was being concise. Darn the lack of typing inflection. :)

(This reporter really thinks he's God's gift to women, doesn't he?!)

"Oh we got popo down there! They've got their lights on! Down there! We're gonna go watch 'em!"

Yes, but it means to take into possession or to sequester in the legal sense. In the context of his tweet, I think he meant to use "empanel". A new GJ, as Crump called for, would have to be empaneled before it could be sequestered.

I think I already posted this . . . all about context & a good attorney would be in the know IMHO
