Could have affected OW's state of mind. Could have been an irritant. Could have distracted him. And so on...

Hmmm....sounds like something that might come up if OW was actually an accused criminal that has been charged with a crime. But certainly not an officer of the law who up to this point has not been accused of any crime. I believe OW's private life should remain just that for now. There has been absolutely no indication that OW's private life has anything to do with this case. If anything, everything I have learned about how LE responds to situations like this, he sounded fairly textbook in his response.

I think that everyone here is forgetting that OW is not a suspect in a crime at this time and that he is not legally treated as one either. LE officers are NOT treated the way civilians are in these types of situations simply because of the fact that their role in society is far different than you and me. They do, in fact, have a "license to kill" in a certain respect that is far greater than a lay person-and that is by design. We need our LEO's to be trained and capable of making life and death decisions like these every day and their safety and the safety of the general public depend upon it. If we treated EVERY officer who has ever shot an unarmed person as a murder suspect, I don't know how many would still sign up for the job.

What this poor man has had to endure for simply doing his job is simply a rotten shame. To have our leaders, community activists, the JJs and 🤬🤬🤬 of the world running their mouths, calling him a racist, a murderer, and executioner, etc...is beyond shameful, in my eyes. He has had to leave the state, go into hiding, fear for his life and the safety of his family and then be exploited like a common criminal is just awful. There is an investigation going on, and a grand jury has been called.

I am so happy there are a lot of brave people out there standing up for this man. I hope he knows that he is not alone in this.

11.51am - A 911 call comes in about a 'strong- armed' robbery at a nearby convenience store

12.01pm – Officer Wilson encounters Michael Brown walking in the middle of the street in the 2900 block of Canfield Drive. The officer shoots Brown dead following an altercation

In my opinion, since Officer Wilson now has a live in girlfriend, I don't think he was stressed by the divorce. Just my opinion.

"Wilson married Ashley Brown on Oct. 15, 2011. They bought a house in Troy, in Lincoln County, in June 2012, but sold it a year later, two months after Darren Wilson filed for divorce and four months after the couple separated. The divorce was finalized on Nov. 18, 2013."

"He bought a home in October 2013 in Crestwood, which he now shares with his girlfriend, Ferguson police officer Barbara Spradling."

At least the streets of Ferguson seem quiet tonight....

Night all :seeya:

That will be the issue. When did the threat stop? Because if he was going down in the street already and several people have said that there was a break in the shooting and then the 3 final shots that killed him. So if he was hit and going down then the threat was over. He only had to hold a gun on him and wait for back up. Shooting again only if he got up.

Shooting til the threat is over does not mean shooting until dead. Not with an unarmed person. IMPO

Still waiting on a link for

"break in the shooting and then the 3 final shots that killed him."

Just bumping it forward.

Not only did officer Wilson have no history of disciplinary action against him, but he had not even had a complaint made against him.

Police Chief Thomas
Jackson described Wilson as "a gentle, quiet man" who had been "an excellent officer."

Wilson, 28, has been an officer in suburban St. Louis for six years and had no complaints filed against him, Jackson said.

For those who poo-poo idea of ppl trying to wrest LEOs' guns away from them.

Or, for those who think LEO should always try non-lethal methods of dealing w aggression...

"...a deputy removed handcuffs from one hand of a jail inmate at the hospital for treatment. The inmate attacked the deputy and grabbed the deputy’s gun, demanding to be released.

The deputy deployed a non-lethal device at the inmate, who then shot the deputy, according to the release...."

Yesterday, an unrehabilitated criminal shot deputy with his own gun, but his b-p vest saved him.

Found it!!

Big CONCERNING GASH on Browns hand

"D. PARKS: Let me explain to you a few things. Number one, you`re going to notice that there`s an injury to his hand. That particular injury

probably came at a close range, you`re going to find out later. Second, when we talk about front to back -- front to back mainly...

GRACE: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, wait! Let me...

D. PARKS: ... applies to two things...

GRACE: ... let me hear what you`re saying. You`re saying that the gunshot wound to his right hand is at close range, although the autopsy is

saying no shots at close range.

D. PARKS: Well, let me explain it like this. It`s a big gash.

GRACE: What?

D. PARKS: It`s a big gash, so as you hear more about it, it`s a big gash on his hand.

GRACE: So it`s not -- are you telling me it`s not a gunshot?

D. PARKS: Now, how that`s -- no, it is a gunshot wound caused by the gun, but a bullet, but it`s a rather large gash in his hand.

GRACE: Well, why do you say it`s at close range?

D. PARKS: Secondly -- well, it`s pretty big and it`s pretty open.

GRACE: That doesn`t mean close range.

D. PARKS: Now, how and when it happened, I`ll leave that to the experts.

GRACE: OK, well, that doesn`t...

D. PARKS: Well, it could -- you`re right, but...

GRACE: ... necessarily mean close range."

Is that the one I removed because it wasn't linked to MSM (or anything?)

Copyright requires it.

Probably all of those things play a part. So does the prison system. So does the huge discrepancy between the numbers of minority and/or poor people in prison and white and/or wealthy people in prison.

More "minority and/or poor people" are in prison because they commit more crimes.

I do not think so. I think there is racism in the system, and I think wealthy people can afford better legal representation. JMO

I'd also like to add IMO they often have poor quality legal representation
