Reedus, very good synopsis, the only thing I would change would be that you stated MB was not shot in the back. Which is true if you are spread erring to back as in, "posterior torso" (what most of us refer to as our backs, however it has not been ruled out that he was shot "from behind". Those arm wounds, while being "front of the body" as the ME described are actually the portion if the arm that face back while walking or running.

Please post a link to support your post that differs from Dr. Baden.

I'd really like to have a link from an EYEWITNESS that was within 75-100' from this incident, who could accurately SEE and/or HEAR what happened, not this 2nd or 3rd hand hearsay that a lot of people are hanging their hats on...........that strongly deviates from what DJ has said.

Does a court of law allow hearsay? Would it allow 3rd party statements?

Lawyers for all the witnesses in this case can't testify, and mouthpieces for OW can't either. So we're left with the statements that came directly from witnesses. What comes out of their mouth, not their body language, not the narrative MSM wants to "guide" them into, not the MSM commentators, only the words from the witnesses themselves.

Do eyewitness statements change? Not a whole lot if it's the truth.

If links have been provided and are proven as fact please, please do not get into a circular argument on this thread about it. If you disagree, move on and ignore the post.

Bringing the video forward. At around 5 minutes he said "we never heard his voice".

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbyGwbcyOWs

You know he is replying to the question of OW's version of the incident- and NOT any details about the incident itself, right? I keep seeing this repeated as discrediting the witness when in fact it does not.

2 problems with that. It contradicts what FPD stated about the first contact. Second, the FPD records say as of 7:00 that night, they still haven't seen anyone that matches the description in the robbery. 7 hours after the shooting. Until I hear a reasonable explanation for why that is in their own records, I will remain of the belief that they didn't piece together that robbery suspect = MB until much later and probably not until the next day.
That is extremely interesting reeds, I had not heard that. Do you have a link?

I have a serious question, how do we know which links are "proven as fact"? The ones in the "media links"? Who approves them as facts? TIA. I don't want to get into trouble here.

I know! Maybe an alien came down and punched Wilson in the face and tried to steal his gun.

Or, maybe Mike tripped over a banana peel and couldn't help his fists from punching Wilson in the face, and during his fall his clenched fist turned into an open hand and it landed on Officer Wilson's gun. Yeah, that's the ticket. :D

Or...........

O/T---Does anyone need their house cleaned? :banghead:
Uh huh, well the possibilities I am talking about are a little more likely IMO

I've watched it 5 or more times. Yes, a clerk got in his way and he pushed him aside. That doesn't mean he was planning to assault anyone on the street.

I acknowledge you view the relevance of the store video differently but for me it goes straight to state of mind, intentions. He had no problems physically assaulting the person of the storeowner who had the nerve to get in the way of his theft in progress. He also had no problem after physically assaulting that storeowner returning to get in his face and attempt to intimidate him further. This was not days before the incident with OW. It was mere minutes. To me it goes straight to his state of mind when the confrontation with the officer seemed about to get in his way when it happened mere minutes later.

Which is why I am unsure what I think about his possible Juvenile record being relevant. If it was a few minor incidences, shoplifting, fighting with classmates or peers, or caught with a little weed on him, I would feel it was completely irrelevant to what happened here.

If, however it was for incidences of extreme violence, or involved a weapon or serious injury or death of someone, I would then wonder if it was relevant. Not because OW could have known anything about it, but because it would give me a clearer picture of MB and his overall seeming mindset regarding violence upon others.

In honor of August 26 being Heroes day in Namibia, Repentance Day in Papua New Guinea, and Women's Equality Day in the good ol' USA, I'm hoping we could all do our level-headed best to avoid making extra work for our hard-working mods, offering repentance for the times we've erred, and celebrating them as heroic women? (Sorry, that is a bit of a stretch -- but here's my link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/August_26 )

And I will also say, my opinion does not differ from Dr. Baden. I am simply interpreting what he said. All he said was the shots were into the front of the body, I am trying to explain what that could actually mean when referring to the anatomical position. Pleas don't give me a time out for this, it is a legitimate point, and I provided you the link.

It's my OPINION. I don't have a link for my opinion. Most everyone here is giving their opinion, but I don't see you asking them for links. He wanted cigars, he stole them, he was near his destination. No reason to think he had any other intent but to go to his destination and smoke the cigars.

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

<mod snip> Because if he really wanted to get home to grandmas and smoke his cigars, then why was he walking in the street, blocking traffic, and refusing to comply with the cops directives to step to the sidewalk? That goes totally against the actions of someone just wanting to get home. :cow:

MB assaulting an officer (medical records are with GJ as per Fergsuon PD) & "going for his weapon" sure does

Anyway, DJ will never be taken seriously & soon he'll be doing time in Cole County jail (maybe prison)

I don't think it's right, but DJ may have just gotten a get out of jail free card. If he has charges pending, he should have to face them and have his day in court. But you wanna see all hell break loose, if he ends up in Cole County jail and the cop isn't even charged, yeah, I might move. And no, not saying any of that is right, but it's what I would fear.
