Maybe you just need to put the "magic letters" IMO or MOO or JMO on your post. Does that make it not require a link?

In my opinion
My opinion only
Just my opinion

Yep, that would do it.

I just did! Now I do not have to post responsibly! I can just say, "MOO!"

Sooo, anything new on the actual case? Just asking...

  • #1,365
Now, what about when I ask for a link from a poster who does not have the letters? And they don't provide the link or the MOO? Do you just drop it?

No, really, they go right down the middle of the street! We just wait for them to notice us so that they move over but usually they have on headphones, so we manage to squeeze around. I won't be a jerk because like I said lots of times it is racing stroller moms.

The real difference is that we residents aren't bothered enough to call the police about it, and the police don't seem to think it's such a big deal either. We have really great neighborhood police presence here. They are always cruising around. But there are some mega-bucks homes in our neighborhood. (Mine is not one of them, but I gots the classy neighbors!)

Honestly, though, it is a minor nuisance, not a major upheaval.

And if the police officers did tell them to get off the street in your area, they probably wouldn't tell a stroller mom "get the fu** off the street."

I am just taking a guess, but I guess that if any of the ladies and gents on here were taking a walk in your neighborhood street and a police officer pulled by you and just said "get the fu** off the street," that MANY of us would turn to the police officer and say something like, "okay, BUT excuse me, what did you say to me?" Or "okay, BUT I don't appreciate your tone of voice." Or "okay, but is it necessary to tell me in that way?" It's easy for us to sit and talk about it, it's a different thing if someone spoke that way to us.
What if we responded any of the above ways, and suddenly the officer pulled out a gun on us? No, we would not fight back, but was that the right thing for the police officer to do? We might freak out at the sight of the gun, start yelling and screaming and waving our arms around in fright - and maybe that police officer would take our waving arms as a threat to him like we were about to attack him, and he just might shoot us with that gun. Because after all, we were a possible threat to his life because we were waving our arms and screaming like a scary woman.

I am just gonna jump in here...

For all of you saying "OW didn't know he didn't have a weapon"...at the same time saying "He tried to take OW's gun!"

How does that compute in your heads? If he had a gun, he would have pulled it out and used it instead of trying to take OW's!! Since you seem to think he tried to take it...what was he gonna do with it? Throw it in the bushes?

And another thing. Regarding the radio caller. She said MB yelled at OW "What are you gonna do...shoot me?" and then "bumrushed" OW. He had already shot him in the car!

What person do you know that has already been shot goes running TOWARDS a gun being fired in their direction? I would love to hear the explanation for that! After first running away?

There are some pretty incredible claims being made out there. That make zero sense! Of course, IMO and all!

OMG! So which is it?

"Please provide a link" or "I don't have to provide a link"?

This is maddening. I have been asked for links for things I have provided links for. But God forbid I ask for a link. :needdrink::banghead:

Let me go over this again and hopefully it will not be too confusing. If it had been linked in the past numerous times and you missed it, you can ask for a link from the poster and usually they will provide it. If the information is new to this forum a link must be provided. Not every post needs a link. Information that has never been provided before needs a link.

Usually I drop it. More so with this case because imamaze worked hard to give us a media thread that makes it super easy to find things.

Did you not see the robbery video? I saw it with my own two eyes and he's guilty. Even DJ admitted that. And even MBs attorney admitted there was an very serious altercation in the vehicle, but that it doesn't mean anything. We also know that MB was high at the time of the shooting and that he was, by even DJs admission, walking down the center of the street and refused to get out of the center of the street. So yes...I feel pretty confident that MB was quite guilty of all of those things. (Don't forget...when all this started, I thought he was an innocent unarmed kid with his hands in the air begging for mercy.)

What? The robbery is a DIFFERENT event. DIFFERENT.

SO because he's guilty of the robbery, then he's AUTOMATICALLY guilty in the event which led to his death?

Sooo, anything new on the actual case? Just asking...

It depends upon how long you've been away. Sound recording recorded the shooting (we think) that shows about 10 total shots (6 at first then a pause then 4 more)
Someone is trying to get MB's juvenile records as rumors are saying he has a juvenile record with a 2nd degree murder charge and that he is a crip
Black Panthers disguised as lawyers are suing Ferguson police for brutality brought on by the BPs inciting the looting and violence
Rumor that MBs DNA found on OWs face and OWs DNA found on MBs hands
DJs bracelet seems to have fallen off somehow at the scene of the incident right next to OWs vehicle
We have determined that OW was coming TOWARD MJ and DJ - yet for some reason, many of us thought he came up behind them

What's your point? You're biggest word here is IF.

EXCUSE ME PLEASE for one moment. First of all, we DO NOT KNOW exactly what OW told them at the very beginnning. Nor do we know what his tone of voice was. Nor do we know what his facial expressions were.

You say, they "casually" told him. Well that is what DJ said and DJ ALSO SAID THAT OW SAID "get the fu** off the street." So you choose to believe one part and not the other?

Why do you believe the "casually" part but not the part about exactly how OW told them to get off the street?

It's like people are total liars till we agree with a small part of what they say. I am as guilty of anyone of this!
Like when I heard Josie's story, I was giving it the side eye, until she said "It was unbelievable!". I think there's a bit of truth in (almost)every lie.

The problem for me with this is that DJ is the only one that said Officer Wilson told them to get the f**ck out of the street and I don't find him a credible witness at all because he's already been proven to be a liar. I'll give a few quick examples, 1) he said that MB fell to the ground and curled up into the fetal position, 2) he said he saw MB get a gunshot in his back, 3) he said that he had just run in MB and started walking with him 20 minutes before.

So IMO I don't believe Officer Wilson said those words to them at all.

I said that I am convinced he was guilty of SEVERAL things leading up to the incident that leads me to very easily assume (unless proven otherwise) that MB did, in fact, instigate the entire incident and needlessly put a police officer in the unfortunate situation of having no other choice but to shoot him dead. Yes. And this came after starting out thinking he was a perfectly innocent kid and the preponderance of evidence that has come forward has completely changed my mind.

What's happening? I fell into some sort of parallel universe...I'm replying to posts...my posts show ...what I quoted isn't. My thanks button isn't working...
Is it just me?
mine has been wonky since last october. ocTOber. I can successfully thank a post maybe half the time. when it doesn't work I get a pop-up box that says "message from webpage" with an ! inside a yellow triangle. each time I have to close that box and refresh the page to get the thanks button to reappear. it is a tedious/annoying process. I haven't changed my antivirus or anything else, and it doesn't happen on other sites. ocTOber!!!

Wow. No kidding. I never caught that.
