This is what burns my butt, excuse the graphic statement. This along with organizers claiming to be doing protests in spirit of MLK. They seriously need to reread his writing IMO. MLK could see difference between racism and economic strife.

http://mlk-kpp01.stanford.edu/index...lopedia/enc_watts_rebellion_los_angeles_1965/

While deploring the riots and their use of violence, King was quick to point out that the problems that led to the violence were ‘‘environmental and not racial. The economic deprivation, social isolation, inadequate housing, and general despair of thousands of Negroes teeming in Northern and Western ghettos are the ready seeds which give birth to tragic expressions of violence’’ (King, 17 August 1965).

I would add that there are unquestionably racists exploiting this situation for the opportunity to espouse their views. But I strongly disagree that they are on the "side" of the officer. The New Black Panthers, for example (who are trying to change their name AGAIN to hide their true purpose), are unquestionably a racist group. And their leader was filmed leading death chants for the officer.

Who are the REAL racists instigators here? IMO, it's pathetically, unabashedly, glaringly obvious.

IMO, this entire situation was never a racist situation, and had no overtones of any kind of racism. IMO, race was not even a side issue, except for the fact that it occurred in a predominantly black, crime ridden, and poor neighborhood. It could just as easily have happened in a poor, white crime ridden neighborhood, or a poor, Asian or Hispanic, crime ridden neighborhood. The issue is the attitude, and conduct, and motivations of the suspects. Criminals come in all different shapes, colors, and sizes. And strangely enough, crime ridden areas tend to have a lot of criminals there. It's not rocket science! And it's not racism. Not in this case, IMO.

Highways are policed by the State Police.

And by the municipality if that portion of the highway is within a municipality.

If DJ is in protective custody then he probably did change his story.

Looks like Viper is a really good source for the "scoop" ;)

By chance I found a channel on TV which is playing those 30 min episodes called "Cops". The channel is called "Spike 241" (on Dish Network).

I have been watching some of those episodes and it clearly shows what a difficult job those police officers have. Some situations are very dangerous, some are difficult. Some are heartbreaking, seeing quite young people who are on drugs, just being out of jail, getting "dirty" again and they have to be arrested and charged all over again. All the cops on this episode show lots of patience, trying to work with the suspects, trying to get them to cooperate. Talking some out of committing suicide etc. As I said, not an easy job at all! Blocking the highway is the dumbest thing I've ever seen!
IMO

I believe if the protesters block an interstate highway and interferes with "interstate commerce" it will become a different agenda that will not bode well for the protesters. If people start messing with truckers and unions and them getting their money, it will be a different discussion that these protesters don't want to have.

I honestly would love to see that for him and his family.

I don't know why, but ever since seeing DJ put back those cigars that MB gave to him in the store, I've had hope for him. And then listening to him in interviews, I can tell he's not a well versed liar. I truly believe he's a follower and I think with the right people surrounding him, he can rise above his less than desirable upbringing and really do something worthwhile with his life.

Kind of like Officer Wilson.

I'm rooting for you DJ :peace:

I have agreed with almost every one of your posts, except this one. :loveyou: Nor do I wish for any harm to anyone; yet, we reap what we sow.

DJ is not innocent in the cause of the riotous actions. His 1st hand accounting of the incident led to the terrifying troubles that were to come. DJ stated that MB asked OW not to shoot him while his hands were up in the air. I believe that is a fabrication.

The shooting occurred on August 9.

In DJs Aug 12 interview, http://www.ksdk.com/media/cinematic/video/13987989/

DJ moved out of his apt. with his young daughter and gf bc he was afraid of revenge from officers. His describes the door of OW vehicle didn't come but "an inch out before it struck us". DJ continues, the officer tries to pull my friend in through the window. He never once tried to get the officer's weapon. The officer fired a shot and let go of MB so they were able to run. DJ ducks for cover bc he fears for his life. The officer is pursuing my friend now. He fired a shot. It struck my friend in the back. My friend stopped running. His hands immediately went into the air and he turned around. He told the officer that he was unarmed. The officer fired several more shots to his head and chest area. He fell dramatically into the fetal position. It hurt him a lot. I could see it in his eyes. I definitely think it was murder.

In his Aug 13 interview, http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2014/08/13/ferguson-protests-continue/13989945/

DJ said OW grabbed MB by the neck. With the other hand, he held his gun and said, "I'll shoot." At the same time, DJ heard gunfire. Then, he and MB ran. DJ hid. OW fired another shot. "It struck my friend in the back." My friend stopped running and turned around with his hands in the air. MB informed the officer that he was unarmed. OW fired several more shots in the chest and head area. My friend felled into the fetal position. It hurt him a lot. It was definitely like being shot like an animal. I definitely think he is guilty of murder.

We know MB was NOT shot in the back. We know MB was NOT in the fetal position. We now know DJ was a known liar based on his police record. The lies he told about the incident caused the people to riot with indignation. The BP swooped down on the City of Ferguson to incite the riots. Gangs members from The Cripps and The Bloods filled the city streets. We know the rest of the story up until this point. JMO

Someone is going to get hit with a car. Are they crazy?

Which will then be offered up by certain agenda pushing rabble rousers as proof positive that everyone is racist and out to kill black people. :sigh:

Does anyone have a feel for how long teh GJ will deliberate and will there be an announcement if they conclude deliberations and come back with a decision that charges are not warranted? I really want to know when this BS will either end or begin or both if you follow.

I'm not sure what is worse. The actions of the 2 or the fact that a person with the mentality like Pappert somehow makes it onto a force anywhere. His facebook postings were disgusting.

I don't even know what to say about these people its horrible for anyone to talk about a group of people like this and what the hell is wrong with protesting? Its the American way. :peace:
