Yes. I explained what it meant when I used the word. Thank you for the wikipedia link.

Do you think the KKK types are starting a Holy war against blacks?

What do the above 10 posts or so have to do with this case? Someone please explain it to me. :please:

I meant, in my above post, that it seems rather ordinary for the area. That IMO is real
life in the hood.

It all depends. What do all the posts about violent rap lyrics or violent country music songs have to do with the case? Who knew there was a RAHOWA started in Canada by white supremacist?

We all see things from our our lens, our own history.

Really? That is normal in the hood? 50 rounds from a freeway overpass using high powered weapons and then the getaway car is found burned out?

That is a normal day for gang members/hoodlums?

Okay.

Rahowa was a Canadian white power rock band that formed in 1989. The band name is an abbreviation of Racial Holy War. The band was founded by lead vocalist George Burdi, who used the pseudonym George Eric Hawthorne. Burdi was a white supremacist, at one time the Canadian leader of the World Church of the Creator, and the owner of Resistance Records, which released the band's material. The songs on their first album had racist and violent lyrics, but the second album was devoid of expletives and racial slurs.

Wow! RAHOWA- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RaHoWa_(band)

Little too "Helter Skelter" far out there for me...
I'm
Not buying it

May 2010-A survey by the Police Executive Research Forum (PERF) of 164 police departments serving 100,000 or more people finds that 37% have seen an increase in the use of assault weapons in street crime. 38% report seeing an increase in the use semiautomatic firearms that accept high-capacity ammunition magazines in street crime.

Latest stats...which I'm looking for the link...

It's only gotten worse.

Agree! Too many guns on the street. Too few background checks with verifiable ID. Too many hotheads with fear and crime in their hearts and minds. Let alone the mental heath issues with drugs on board. :(

Could send you links to shootings in North Philadelphia ..like last week a 17 year old was shot mutible times ( died) in front of 100 people at a block party...and no one saw a thing, zero leads...

Cars are torched almost daily ...typically they're stolen...used & torched.

Nothing shocking.

All IMO

One of the former families I worked with was from Philadelphia. She is AA.

I met her because my job was to work with the homeless and she was in the domestic violence shelter. She talked about the violence in Philly and how it was as meaningful in the news as the weather. The lives of the AA did not even get more than a couple of seconds of mention.

Upset by all of these issues? Go make some friends in the areas of poverty. There are wonderful people there as well as not so nice people there. Just like everywhere.

Now that the votes are in on which is more violent, rap or country, does anyone have an idea on what happened between MB & OW.

Driving is a privilege not a right. MO

Yes, but we want people to work. So how do they get to work without a car ? And public transportation does not go around the clock in some places nor does it go to remote areas.

Very true, but when the bad out number the good...and just driving through can get me killed....I'll stay home. TYVM:)

No. Some will believe witnesses, some will believe an anonymous woman on a radio show. The DA will throw the GJ what he wants them to hear. Maybe a true bill or not, trial, and then back to where we started.

Meanwhile we have a police chief who lied, a few officers who are less than stellar and a lot of work to do to see each other's human eyes. :(
