A white man, a local resident tried to speak, and the crowd rudely shouted him down. he seemed like the voice of reason but no one wanted to hear it.

Apparently, dissenting viewpoints aren't allowed in that hall. The crowd is angry and shouting him down.

If we compiled all the demands, I bet it's close to every official, duly elected or not, lose their job that's not within their movement. The irony about that "white racism" comment before, was that there are pictures of protesters yelling at and getting in the faces of black officers as well. And a man told Chief Johnson he wished Johnson was a firefighter so he could be his friend. IMO, some want no boundaries, laws, or authorities over them period. It's easier to blame others for your choices and circumstances than man up.

The black officers in the LAPD will tell you that they are treated WORSE and with more disdain by the blacks, than any of the white officers.

No police would mean no fire department responding, no ambulances. LE has to clear the way for responders. No responders means no subsidized housing because insurance companies would cancel policies on apartment buildings. It would be a domino effect. jmo

I think they should walk off their jobs right this minute

I felt that way a few minutes ago and now, after listening to these :censored: They wouldn't bully me out of my job. I'd stay for spite.

I am not watching this, but are any of the residents concerned about crime in their area or the fact that a bunch of people just burned down several businesses and destroyed property from rioting? Don't they want to work together with police to resolve things like re-building the community and getting rid of criminal element(s) like gangs that essentially further community deterioration? That would seem more constructive than what some of these residents are upset about, idk just imo.

And no white businesses. It's not the council peeps in need of diversity training.

Looks that way. From "Who's Afraid of Anthony Shahid":

He walks the streets of these neighborhoods and sees liquor stores on every corner, owned by people of other races. He looks for the African-American-owned businesses...

Walked the grid of the city's African-American neighborhoods, calling on business owners who weren't African-American with suggestions -- some say ultimatums -- that left them silent and subdued. Marched publicly on the Arab-owned liquor stores around Cass Avenue, trying to push them and their products out of the African-American community.
