Well I agree with that speaker. Of course, the difference is I'd have County PD take it over.

Um, they won't like them either.

Would love to know what's running thru the counsel members heads as they make their drive home? lol

I would feel 'injured' if a few people issued threats to me, about watching my back and my family, and the crowd cheered.

I wonder if Missouri has a terroristic threats charge or similar.

Across the U.S., police departments are struggling to hire and retain minority candidates http://nyti.ms/1ujl5Vv

One reason is because they are targeted by other minorities when they are out on the streets. They are treated worse than white officers. And they are called Uncle Toms and sell outs and snitches. There is very little respect for them from their communities. So why would they bother?

What do you think would be the best way?

Actually, I just turned it on and I actually think this is a good start. Let them express their frustration and their anger. Engage with them but not in a way that has the rigidity of a formal council meeting. Frankly, they should get off the stage too. Stop giving the appearance that you are superior to any of them. Engage with them not to them. Frankly, I think what they're doing right now is fine now that I turn it on. It must have been different earlier.

Current speaker demanding his freedom? How is he not free? Perhaps he's not capable of more eloquent speech and explaining his position, but demanding his freedom?

Dropped F-Bomb and reminded that he's in church.

He just confirmed my suspicion that he's not capable of more eloquent speech.

I thought that's what the protests were for? And no, this is a city council meeting, not a town hall meeting..as they have stated.

It has calmed down a bit from the chaotic times. It was pretty wild a few times.

I'm beginning to get the impression they want no laws, police, or courts there.

that's why those areas are places no one wants to own property

Hope everyone gets to be heard..
Looks like many said their piece and left. (Rather rude if ya ask me)

What does it do to you, when you are threatened?

It would depend on the situation I suppose and how real I thought the threat was.

Know you guys want to hear this...

Current speaker is accusing the city council of being white supremacists.

I don't think this is the way to get someone to listen to your grievances.
