I'm thinking about how much money this is costing the county, as well as the city.

And for what? To prevent a group of <self-snipped> from getting hurt and to protect motorists from getting into accidents because of the <self-snipped>.

Well, a segment apparently has taken up the cause any how.

As for Shahid, did anyone see him standing and stepping back just watching as the very first people who were lying down got arrested? He sure as hell wasn't going to let his azz get arrested. SMH

He's a coward.

It appears many blacks in Ferguson feel they should be able to do
whatever they want- whenever they want without LEO's
intervening? They just want free reign of the city?
What a crock.

I am not touching my real thoughts. Suffice it to say I saw white people, including Larry Rice, getting arrested.

Since they "sponsored" this protest, they should receive a bill to reimburse taxpayers.

:waitasec: well . . . maybe he thought he would be less effective in organizing future protests or calming the crowd in this one if he was busy trying to bond out via the jail hotline which surely will be a bit busy with at least 12 taken into custody thus far?

looks like people are moving to the sidewalk and some of the protesters dispersing. Whew. Makes me hopeful that maybe they feel they made their statement and this will end soon with no injury.

I think LE handled it pretty darn well if you ask me. Were able to handle it without the use of tanks and tear gas. Made targeted arrests (although I'm not convinced they were actually arrested. They may have just been detained to try to break things up). Those that got arrested seemed to go peacefully (though my stream cut out so I can't say all did). A majority, including Vickers, instead of escalating matters, took it somewhere else. Still gonna have thugs and the thugs need to be arrested. I would be more than happy for there to be no arrests of people simply lying on the ground in exchange for the arrest and charging of whoever that was that threw a brick. That is the 🤬🤬🤬🤬 that needs to be behind bars and the community should give him up.

Apparently, this is not Mr. Vicker's first interaction with MO Highway Patrol. Check out his boss Nasheed's comments at link. Priceless, given her activism over this case.

Missouri Senator Nasheed’s staffer charged for marijuana possession

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, St. Louis area attorney Eric Vickers was arrested yesterday in Montgomery County Missouri just before 6pm on a charge of misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

But the FBI and DOJ are right in the middle of this investigation. They would get everything, I mean, everything.

Well, lol at least we know that. :)

Not being smart but when has there been a desire to engage more of the white community? The speakers that I could understand made it clear they want black , just black.

I didn't say they did. I said from the very outset that they made a mistake by not engaging a white activist on police brutality. It would have made them much more difficult to dismiss if there were as many white faces in the crowd as black. That's not right and not fair but that's the world we live in. Never thought of Larry Rice as that potential person until he just got arrested or detained.

And he's considered a respected community leader there? Makes me wonder if he started the minor lawbreaking/ticket amnesty proposal to deal with the mess he made. And he agreed with the burn city hall comment, acknowledging it was a threat of violence, and "helped" with the city council meeting last night.

(Eta oops wrong button again. Response to Udb.)

After several arrests, and at least two rocks thrown, the demonstration is being dispersed by police.

punch and struggle for gun = tussle/altercation/serious confrontation

strongarm robbery moments before meeting officer = irrelevant

possibly juvenile record = smear tactic (I tended to agree depending on what might have been in it)

advancing on LEO (no matter the million and one ways it has been described by witnesses depending seemingly on the day = execution while surrendering

civil rights demands = subvert justice system and system of government every else (you and I) must observe and receive said demands immediately

and now for the piece de resistance

Full size brick = two rocks

got it.
