Already? wow. I doubt the council members are looking forward to it. I wonder if they will do anything different this time. Maybe move it back to regular council site, try again to clear up regular business that backlogged, and then listen to the public that has signed up.

I know that our city council meetings only allow a certain number of speakers at the end of each meeting. I think they cap it at 20, anf you sign in and get on the list , just before the meeting starts.

I dont think the city will get any of their other business done, if every meeting turns into a public free for all that lasts for hours.
ear plugs?

Just spoke to an @stlurbanleague staff member. Over 5,000 people attended the jobs & resource fair. Event extended by an hour, she said.

Glad to see so many made it to the job fair.

Well I've gotta figure these are the good people of Furgeson as opposed to the ones who have acted like an angry lynch mob.

I wish them success.

JMO The case is not about protesters, nor is it about LE cheerleaders.....nor is it about the Ferguson school system. The question the GJ is in place to answer is whether or not there is probable cause to believe that a crime was committed. If they see no testimony or evidence that a crime was POSSIBLY committed, they will render no true bill. Otherwise, there will be an indictment. Nothing to do with sideline commentators or spinners. JMO

I could well be wrong, but I don't think "probable" cause means a crime was "possibly" committed. I see it as slightly more than a 50-50 chance a crime was committed. Maybe someone will provide the definition of probable cause the St. Louis County grand jurors are given.

Yeah, "possible" and probable cause are two different things. It can be argued that anything is possible. Probable cause is defined legally as. . .

apparent facts discovered through logical inquiry that would lead a reasonably intelligent and prudent person to believe that an accused person has committed a crime, thereby warranting his or her prosecution, or that a Cause of Action has accrued, justifying a civil lawsuit.

Discussions on the Zimmerman case specifically are off topic.

They want a law called mike-mike law? :dunno:

DJ repeatedly referred to MB as Big Mike in interviews. MB's rapper name was Big Mike iirc. But I can see why Crump Inc. advised against any reminder that OW was dealing with a not-at-all-gentle giant.

It's their own fault for failing to require simple, procedural rules to be followed. Roberts Rules of Order has been around for quite some time. Cops should be there to enforce the rules.

I bet more blacks would than we think. Not as a "token" black officer in Ferguson, but as part of a multi-race force elsewhere.

"Probable cause" is a higher standard than "reasonable suspicion", but a lower standard than "beyond reasonable doubt". The GJ must find probable cause to support a true bill for OW indictment. Based on totality of circumstances and do not believe PC is quantified %. imo

They also have to consider the law as it applies to police officers based on his believe that there is a threat to his life or to the public.
