Well, local grocery stores DO often have "tabs" - I know my Mom ran one for years, especially after she and my Dad got a divorce and money was tight. I don't know that that was the case with MB, but it DOES happen!

Alcohol and tobacco products are regulated by the Federal government (ATF). Regulations are very, very strict due to taxes. People do run a tab for food in some local stores but I doubt if a liquor store runs a tab because of the taxes are due at the time of the sale. No store owner is going to lose his license over not paying his taxes. No one wants to mess with the ATF.

Plus in the video we do not see MB sign for anything, nor does he show identification which is required to buy tobacco or liquor.

House Springs doesn't have room for them :) . . . this is NOT the StL County Council Session planned for tonight -- still protesting against Nixon as if he can do anything -- he's neutered IMHO

These protesters must be so torn :scared:

Do they go to a grand opening for a new Campaign Headquarter? Or do they go to a County Council meeting?

Which will they choose?

The suspense is killing me!

So...I just keep chanting..."sit on your hands....sit on your hands...."

Speaking of hands...

So in your avi, is Lucy surrendering to LE? Because if a LEO told me to freeze, that's pretty much what I would look like. I surely would not be moving toward him/her. (And frankly, it would not be so much out of fear but of shame that I'd somehow done something that made LEOs tell me to freeze!)

Well, Lucy *was* always getting into trouble of one sort or another, so who knows??? ;-)
But I'm with you...if LE told me to freeze, I wouldn't hesitate. If there's been some mistake, we can always work that out later...but if I decide to run, or go for the officer's gun...well, who knows?

( I actually had to go back out, and back in to see my avi, because I couldn't remember what Lucy was doing...I should say, my choice of that avatar has NOTHING to do with this case, and there was no disrespect intended, at all! Just a coincidence...but if it bothers/offends people, I'll be happy to change it!)

Doesn't bother me at all. Just reminds me of what the "average bear" in my life would do if LE told them to freeze. Actually serves as a good reminder: "If you are facing this situation because LE told you to freeze...don't move...and don't ever do whatever it is that made LE tell you to freeze again!" Shoot, the mere humilitation of being in that situation would make me freeze.

Aren't the protestors wondering why DJ is in protective custody?
Aren't they wondering why he doesn't participate?
Do they believe the federal government is using Jedi mind tricks to brain wash him?

I imagine there are some that are saying, "Hey, wait a minute..."
But from what I've seen out of the "protests" so far, there are a lot of folks adhering to the "any altered state will do" maxim. IOW the adreniline associated with this case is impeling them on because it gives them a major rush. The less adreniline-fueled activity around them, the less they will be interested, and they will go on to other high (or low)-producing situations. These adreniline-seeking people aren't wondering anything other than where they can get their next altered state. Oh, and SCB for those who insist (See Cow Below).

If the St. Louis County grand jury fails to indict Officer Darren Wilson, Prosecuting Attorney Bob McCulloch will immediately release full transcripts and audio recordings of the grand jury proceedings, his spokesman said Tuesday.

Ed Magee, McCulloch’s executive assistant, said in an interview that the prosecutor has not yet decided whether the names of the witnesses would be released along with their testimony. “I know we will be releasing the transcriptions of the testimony...I don’t know about the names yet; we’re not sure how that is going to work.”

Thanks.

Magee confirmed that McCulloch had made a decision to transcribe and tape the proceedings.

Smart!

DJ got evicted from Canfield Green, so "protective custody" may only mean the feds are paying for housing somewhere so he doesn't take off. DJ isn't stupid enough to think he could run from the feds very long.

Idk how he'd be able to withhold the names. Well of course he can, but DJs statements are going to be easily recognized since he was the only one who was with MB. I see a new address in his near future.

Thanks! I read it. Wonder if he's actually been threatened, or just feels that way.??? Kind of weird. JMO

Not that weird, IMO. In that neighborhood, they know that snitches get stitches. He doesn't have to have received actual specific threats, because he already knows how it works.
