Which part do you need links for? They've all been reported in MSM.

Link to where he manhandled a cop and tried to get his gun. Blocking the roadway. Is there proof of this, aside from speculation?

What does that matter?! He was going to learn a skill. Make a life. Do you know how much hvac guys make? A LOT. It could have made a new life for him.

How many HVAC guys need to get bonded before they are hired to go to people's homes and businesses to repair units??? A felony conviction for that robbery could have ruined, or at least put a damper, on his HVAC employment opportunities.

I don't think many of us would want a convicted robber coming into our homes to repair the air conditioning unit, or maybe it is just me.

Here is a video of Chief Jackson's press conference on Thursday morning August 14 (before the whole thing is taken over by Missouri State Highway Patrol) which includes questions by reporters about the name of the officer involved in the shooting of Michael Brown.

http://www.msnbc.com/msnbc/watch/ferguson-police-chief-defends-tear-gas-318148163970

At approx: 10:50 minutes into the press conference a reporter says: (Paraphrasing) Anonymous put out a name this morning, Bryan something.
Chief: That's not the name, I haven't seen anyone else.
Reporter: Another name, Darren?
2nd Reporter: Darren Wilson.
Chief: I am not going to comment on that. (as all color goes out of his face)
Reporter: What do you think, are they just throwing names out there?
Chief: I think that's what they are doing, taking name after name after name and jus throwing them out there.

Here is the link about the questioning of the name. If there is another one, then bring it on the thread or stop posting about it immediately.

I am thinking..jmo

They were told to get out of the middle of the road.
As he drove away Wilson heard the BOLO and backed up.
MB assaulted Wilson as he tried to exit his vehicle.
MB struggled for the gun that Wilson was pulling out for protection.

I've been envisioning the same scenario.

I still want to hear more details of the officer's version, though, to determine why he took the action of shooting someone to death, and to decide for myself if it makes sense and was warranted.

In the CCTV footage, MB grabbed the clerk by the neck, forcibly stealing property, according to the Missouri criminal code.

MB committed a class B felony.

Robbery in the second degree.
569.030. 1. A person commits the crime of robbery in the second degree when he forcibly steals property.

2. Robbery in the second degree is a class B felony.

http://www.moga.mo.gov/statutes/C500-599/5690000030.HTM

MB's family, friends, and defenders can try to minimize his criminal actions all day long and they can try to vilify LE for releasing the CCTV footage, but the fact of the matter is: MB assaulted someone during the commission of a crime.

It doesn't matter that his act of violence during the commission of a crime was momentary - it was still violence. MB violently grabbed the clerk by the neck and pushed him.

Hmmmm... Now that I think about it, I wonder if MB's violent actions against the store clerk may have been the inspiration for Dorian Johnson's claim that the officer grabbed MB by the neck during the through-the-window altercation?

so you are agreeing with me then right?

I don't think anybody is saying he SHOULD be dead. IMO.

A poster DID say that he, in their opinion, caused his own death.............IMO that is a lot like saying what a woman wore caused her rape. Don't want to squabble, but let's not judge until we have a wealth of evidence to pore through. JMO

Would have been awesome if he wasn't shot dead for that. Not a death penalty crime. We're talking less than $50. What is his life worth?

he wasnt shot dead for that, the officer wasnt even aware of the robbery.

*edit - well technically he may still have been aware of the robbery, but he did not consider them as suspects. so the robbery had nothing to do with why michael was shot from the perspective of the officer.

I know. That's why it seemed so very very sad at first. Here was this young man, a high school graduate headed for a trade school with a very clear goal in mind, shot dead in cold blood on his way to his grandma's house.

Only that's not what it turned out to be. He's a 🤬🤬🤬🤬 who attacked a cop and tried to take his gun.

What we first heard, at first, made him seem to be a very sympathetic victim. Not so much.
Is that opinion? Because so far that is not what witnesses say at all.

And the cop is not talking yet.

well, there's proof he was walking in the middle of the street & potentially blocking the roadway (his accomplice even said so) if you knew the area . . . as far as him manhandling the officer, no video is available as of yet

I've been envisioning the same scenario.

I still want to hear more details of the officer's version, though, to determine why he took the action of shooting someone to death, and to decide for myself if it makes sense and was warranted.

And that is what we are here for. Details, witness statements, etc... in other words, proof. Thanks for this comment.

Thanks for finding that. That is lying to me. It is deception clear and dry.

IT is a shame. If this had been handled right from DAY 1, It would have been a whole different story. IMO
While you were out a mod asked for your source for calling the chief a liar. If refusing to answer a question is a lie in your mind, so be it. I'll let a mod decide.

What I don't really get is why everyone is hung up on the "arms in the air surrendering". Based on today's release of information, I don't think anyone can form a clear picture of what happened in that street. Supposition perhaps, but nothing close to certainty.

i think it is because every witness to the incident so far has said this, some people dont believe them, some people do. but that is your reason.

I'm pretty much right here now.

I think that in this case there seems to me no reason this kid is dead. And a lot to try and make him to be the bad guy. First it was reported he punched the clerk, Well he didn't. He pushed him. The man was not hurt.. Yeah MB looks like a jerk in the video but that does not mean he should be dead.

I really hope the autopsy is clear. And I bet they have no released it yet because they don't want to have to talk about the fact that he was shot in the face and possible evidence that his hands were indeed up.

This all should have come out day1. Not on the day they released the officers name to try and shift the focus.. Which they have done.

I think this cop made a huge error in judgment when he shot and killed MB. I can not see it any other way at this point.

MB's family is calling for a second autopsy. (<---I don't have a link at the ready, so take this as JMO until I find the link.)

The fact that his family is calling for a second autopsy is interesting. Seems suggestive of the expected results not jiving with their claims. Perhaps, NOT shot in the back? Why on earth would they already be calling for a second autopsy...
Unless there's something on the first one that they don't care for.

I'll be interested in seeing the toxicology report in this case. DJ has lost all credibility as a witness IMO. The story makes no sense and this is why - If I had just robbed a store, only minutes before and all LE does is tell me to get the f on the sidewalk....well I don't think I could get the f on the sidewalk fast enough. This seems logical to me, but I would never commit a crime and maybe I don't understand 🤬🤬🤬🤬 mentality. I think there is more to this story that has yet to come out. JMO

A moderator posted this link this afternoon:

The preliminary investigation showed that the officer tried to exit his vehicle, but Brown pushed him back into the car, "where he physically assaulted the police officer" and struggled over the officer's weapon, St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar said.

A shot was fired inside the police car, Belmar said. After the incident, the officer was taken to an area hospital, where he was treated for a "swollen face," according to Ferguson Police Chief Tom Jackson.

During the PC he also said a BOLO had been released.

dont you agree tho that if the police chief knew that what you suggest had actually happened that he would have been very sure to mention it?

he would not say that the reason for the stoppage was that they were walking in the street, and specifically say that they were not stopped for anything to do with the robbery if in fact he knew that sometime in the middle of the altercation the officer did begin to see them as possible suspects. he would absolutely have mentioned that. imo
