Concerned me too, but I think LE knew he was dead. Did you notice the elongated area extending away from the top of his head? I don't think that's a shadow because it's too long. I think it may be blood and brain matter that sprayed out. In the video I did hear one of the individual's comment that his brains were on the street. LE knew they couldn't do anything for him. Preserving the dignity of a deceased person is probably not anything they concern themselves with. I find that very disturbing.

It was a possible crime scene. Cops didn't want to disturb or contaminate it in any way.

The shooting happened at 12:01 and the ambulance was contacted at 12:04

Yes I saw that and it is what is confusing me. In the 10 minute long video posted on the last page he was just lying there, uncovered. Why? Why did the ambulance not take him away? Do ambulances usually simply leave people lying in the street when they're already dead? I though they take them anyway and bring them to the morgue. Maybe I'm wrong, but this looks just ... wrong! It's disrespectful

They need pictures, evidence collection etc. Bodies can and do lay in place at crime scenes for hrs sometimes before they are taken away.

Rescue squads do not transport dead people. There are only so many available for 911 calls/accidents/etc. and they must be kept in service when at all possible.

As a first responder, I can say that we do NOT transport dead people. It's out of our hands. He was obviously dead by the time first responders got there and so there was nothing they could do. i have been a first responder at homicides and all we could do was help with crowd control, assist police with other things and await the coroner. It is a CRIME scene and cannot be tampered with. It must be photographed as is, to maintain evidence and to document the situation. Yes it seems harsh but that is how it must be.

Here comes the lightning and thunder. I just looked at the radar and they have some good storms coming.

Ambulances do not take away potential 'murder' victims. The forensics experts need to come and take pictures, document the scene, pick up shell casings, in case of a trial.

What would have happened if the cops covered up this body and whisked it away in minutes? Crump and the attorneys would be angrily accusing the cops of tampering with the crime scene and messing up the evidence.

I just want to add... if this was a "who dun it" homicide case like OJ they hopefully would not have placed a sheet on MB. jmo

Sadly, there are some there that sound so biased against the LE that they probably think they are bringing in the rain to break things up on purpose!

It's not disrespectful.

It's the way it is.

That was a lesson I learned years ago when the deputy coroner told me he transported my sons body in the back of his personal van. I shudder to think of that.
