Who was it that was telling black voters to write in MikeBrown ? That is so stupid. What a wasted vote.

I'm not sure, but they were chanting it through the counsel meeting last night, and now it's being used by MB supporters as a flippin' hashtag all over Twitter.

Par for the course. Imo

I've been convinced for decades that people like Shahid and his ilk have never wanted these people to get out of the pit. Too many people make their bread and butter and get voted into positions by playing that fiddle.

And too many citizens think and vote with their hearts instead of their heads.

And that's all I'm going to say about the subject.

Smart of McCulloch to have the gj hear from OW yesterday, not their normal meeting time today. Bet an enraged and deranged Shahid is somewhere doing evil things to his already hideously mistreated stuffed doggies.

It is somewhat odd that people who claim they "are mistreated by the justice system" don't believe in Due Process.

That would require a clue

I hope someone steps up to explain that anyone who follows the message to #writeinmikebrown has disenfranchised themselves of an actual vote.

Or....... maybe not :saythat:

honestly, if McCulloch recused himself from this case, there would be what 10 yrs of cases that could be re-opened due to his bias??? That is why he has these 2 competent women doing his job for him . . .

McCulloch isn't going to be recused and isn't going to be removed. It's silliness when they suggest otherwise, whether he's a racist or has a conflict of interest or not.

Would love to see the checklist on what constitutes respect. Would also love to see the list of accomplishments they think commands or earns respect.

IMO respect is earned and mutuality is key.

I don't think the "failure to register a vehicle" violation would impede her from testifying. if she hadn't taken care of it, I'm sure she was in line when all the warrants, tickets etc., were ripped up/forgiven the other week.

The more important question is does the GJ even want to hear from her?

I can only think of one reason a GJ wouldn't want to hear from her. And that reason would give justification for the rioting.

How much you wanna bet she testifies before the GJ, a failure to register vehicle charge or not.

If it's a true statement that the GJ will hear and see everything, she will testify. I also presume that they have located jill meadows aka "Josie". As I said, I'm glad that OW testified.........it tells me that he is confident that all of his interviews' facts matched. This is definitely in his favor. JMO

I so cannot follow that logic. Is the lesson learned for future criminals...always testify before a GJ because that means you are less likely to have committed the offense? Seems like a dangerous position to take or is that just a position for this case only?

No, it does not mean 'always testify before a GJ cuz it means u a are less likely to be guilty' ----- it means only that IF YOU ARE INNOCENT, then testifying before them is the right move. You will be able to withstand their scrutiny.

Not testifying would have made me less confident in his feelings of innocence. Doubt would have crept in.

The only concern that jumped in my mind about the timing is how awful the timing would have been had Shahid accidentally bumped into OW as they were all in Clayton presumably.

Unless she declines the invitation.

How much you wanna bet I could pick a part inconsistencies between his statements and what Ms. Meadows would claim he told her?

I wish *I* could take credit for it!

Too bad I didn't think of it;)

In order of your questions/comments:
No comment, No, Yes, and...

SORRELLSKYE'S most excellent posts from last night.
bbm/cbm
" When so-called "protesters" complain about not having access to City Council meetings (even though nothing was barring them from attending meetings in the past) I call that willful ignorance. When so-called "protesters" wear tee shirts to council meetings that read "Let My People Vote" - even though no one has been preventing them from voting - I call that willful ignorance.

When so-called "protesters" make demands that seek to circumvent due process and 4th amendment rights - I call that willful ignorance, because if they would take the time to educate themselves, they'd know better.

When someone complains that their locally elected officials don't represent them, but fails to register to vote and to participate in the electoral process - I call that willful ignorance (if not downright laziness).

It has nothing to do with anyone's opinion on the death of MB, nor their rights to express their opinions.

Everyone in this country has the means to seek out information - especially in this technological age. Even the poor can access information via the internet at their local library (if they can't afford a computer and internet subscription). We are not ruled by an oppressive 3rd-world dictatorship that prohibits access to information and knowledge.

Blaming everyone else for problems that are within one's power to solve by claiming that "I didn't know", but refusing to inform themselves & to participate in a solution - I call that willful ignorance.

I also call it willful abdication of personal responsibility."

To understand the soul of a horse is the closest we humans can come to knowing perfection.

I think we're saying the same thing. If I commit a crime, I'm testifying before the GJ because it would make you or others more confident in my feelings of innocence.
