I will say I saw a short vid with Shahid smiling while marching in the council chambers last night. Got the sense he was genuinely pleased and enjoying himself.

I think he's mentally ill, and I don't say that in jest. I really think there is something wrong with him.

This has reached an insanity level. Where is Charles Manson? This is not funny. Someone is spoiling to push for violence so they can have a self fulfilling prophecy of sorts.

Helter Skelter. Who pulled the strings?

:sigh: I fear for this country.

Helter Skelter ish for sure. I view the actions of some Ferguson residents completely void of 'anything' MB.
They want to antagonize LE, store owners and city officials. March, raise hell and threaten. ugh

So, is anyone familiar with the old Cold War expression 'useful idiots'?

Just wondering. :(

Ferguson officer appears before grand jury on shooting of Michael Brown

CLAYTON • Ferguson police Officer Darren Wilson testified here for almost four hours Tuesday in front of the St. Louis County grand jury investigating his shooting Aug. 9 of Michael Brown, a source with knowledge of the investigation said Wednesday.

Wilson was not obligated to appear, and also has spoken with St. Louis County investigators twice and federal investigators once, the source said. The source said Wilson was “cooperative.”

A spokesman for Prosecuting Attorney Robert McCulloch’s office, Ed Magee, refused to comment Wednesday on who had testified.

The shooting of Brown, 18, who was black and unarmed, by Wilson, who is white, gave rise to racially charged protests and looting. Some activists have threatened more of the same if the grand jury does not indict Wilson.

Police have said that Brown struggled with Wilson before being shot. Brown’s family and some witnesses have said Brown was surrendering when he died. Others who have spoken publicly said it was not clear what Brown was doing when he turned toward Wilson after fleeing from their initial encounter.

McCulloch has pledged to present every witness and every shred of evidence to let the grand jurors independently decide whether to indict Wilson, without the prosecutor making a recommendation. Magee has said that prosecutors will help witnesses navigate legal issues.

Some more interesting info from this link:

Evidence is being presented to a grand jury that was empaneled before the shooting, with a term recently extended at the prosecutor’s request to Jan. 7. At one point, McCulloch had predicted a decision in October.

The pace remains uncertain, but Tiffany Mitchell, a witness to the shooting who has spoken publicly about what she saw, has not yet been subpoenaed, her attorney, Peter Cohen, said Wednesday.

McCulloch took the rare step of having audio recordings and a transcript made of the secret proceedings, with a promise to release them publicly if there is no indictment. McGee acknowledged that opening the material would require an order from a judge, who could say no.

Jim Cohen, an associate professor of law at Fordham University, told the Post-Dispatch last month that grand jury material had rarely been made public anywhere, even to scholars researching historical cases. He also worried that fear of being publicly identified might inhibit witnesses.

Magee said McCulloch’s office had talked about the potential effect on witnesses “a little bit” and “it’s still being discussed.” He said prosecutors could decide to withhold witness names, especially those who are not police officers and may have particular safety issues.

He said the names of the grand jurors would not be made public, and it was unclear whether documents would be released that necessarily would carry the foreperson’s signature.

Magee said the timing of the announcement of the grand jury’s decision, once it’s made, was “still being discussed.”

So, the prosecutor promises to make the GJ material public but a judge could still say no? :waitasec:

St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Robert P. McCulloch has ordered an audio recording of the proceedings, in addition to transcripts. If there is no indictment in the case, those records will be made public, McCulloch told the Post-Dispatch on Wednesday.

Protesters gathered peacefully to call for Wilson's arrest in a demonstration Aug. 13. The crowd included Michael Brown's parents.

"Is [Darren Wilson] getting peace? Now if he's getting peace, I could respect him a lot better if he would come to Clayton right now, and turn himself in," Michael Brown Sr. said Saturday.

Other protesters have disrupted meetings with calls to remove McCulloch, citing concerns about whether McCulloch could fairly oversee the case.

I like the tone of this article, ie with accurate descriptors! Unleashing 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬, threats, fury, further violence, KKK, Jim Crow, demanded, jeered, disrupt.

A few protesters screamed at the officers, who stood with little movement.

Oh, and the lie has now morphed to 4 and a half hours.

At this rate....By January ( if the GJ takes that long) he will have been a rotting corpse that laid in the street for 4 weeks!

Now that they have publicized their upcoming threats against the Rams and the NFL, chit is going to get real. The NFL does not play when it comes to groups trying to mess with Monday Night Football. They have lots and lots of resources and lots of experienced manpower, much more so than FPD.

Calling in 'professional' protestors from across the nation is going to get the NFL Security all riled up. They will be arresting everyone that looks at them sideways. I am going to stock up on popcorn.

Does the Department of Homeland Security oversee sporting venues? I can't imagine them letting protesters get close to the stadium, much less with their Isis signs. Jmo

ciao

Why October 13th for the civil disobedience at "targets" (similar terrorism wording again)?

St. Louis Rams
1-1, 4th in NFC Western Division
Monday, October 13, 7:30 PM on ESPN
Edward Jones Dome, St. Louis, Missouri

OK if this is not a form of domestic terrorism, I honestly don't know what is. They are threatening a very large event that is seen nationally. People are going to be scared to bring their families. There is a huge potential for this to turn violent with young children all around. Do they really think taking their freakshow to a national audience is going to help their cause? The average American doesn't give a lick about some 🤬🤬🤬🤬 from Ferguson who got shot after assaulting a police officer. There will be repercussions. Thus will not end well. The average person does not want to deal with this.

I would honestly have a lot more sympathy if they had a decent case of police brutality. But they have really chosen the wrong battle. Most people don't see the late Michael Brown as any kind of hero. For many, he symbolizes exactly the opposite.

People are getting tired of this broken record. Tired of coming home after a long day at work, turning on the tv and being told that they are the reason for others problems. That they are what is wrong with America. That they need to fix this. People have had enough.

It is quite apparent that Sr wants an arrest so badly so that he can file that civil suit. I no longer see a grieving father, but someone who is simply bent on revenge and $$$$. [emoji35]
