These people are intent on starting riots to bully OW's arrest. It is beyond ignorant and ridiculous.

Grand jury proceedings often are not transcribed. Missouri law only requires transcription if a witness is given immunity for testimony or if the judge overseeing the grand jury orders transcription. But Magee confirmed that McCulloch had made a decision to transcribe and tape the proceedings.

When I saw today that Officer Wilson took the hugely brave move of submitting himself to four hours of Grand jury interrogation, I foolishly thought it would cool some hot heads and allay some doubts.

But no. As I went back to check some other sites, I was stunned to see those people staunchly continuing to beat their drums against him.

Why? Because, they say, it was unfair and unheard of for a prosecutor to "allow" a defendant to do this. :facepalm:

The same people are also staunchly maintaining (or not correcting) the usual conspiracy theories and nonsense - even when it's shown repeatedly to be false. Eg, "4 hours uncovered" and "There was no robbery", etc.

Even among those who don't go that far down the rabbit hole, there's the whole "of course he won't be charged, because the DA doesn't want it." (as if the FBI and DOJ are also part of the conspiracy.

The only hope I have left for Officer Wilson is that the DA does get a judge to open up the transcripts and recordings. Even then, there will be the equivalent of tinfoiled "911 Truthers", but at least they'll be more marginalized.

I hope the DA has or gets assurance ASAP that he'll get that permission, else it will only add to the conspiracy theorists.

By now, I'm totally on board with Wilson, and my heart breaks for him tonight.

I'm with you. Unfortunately, I don't think his coming clean will calm the rioters. They spin away his admission of the store robbery. They'll just say he only flipped to cut a deal.

As CHERIE.T says, no amount of logic or reason can compete with people who have none or refuse to admit it when faced with it.

(I haven't been able to read back past this page since I logged in, but want to THANK everyone for their hard work and great posts. You all are a priceless oasis of sanity. :grouphug: )

I saw some posts saying that too. Saying it was unfair and biased on McCullochs part to allow OW to speak to the GJ. And that it is only fair now that one of the Brown family attorneys be allowed to speak to the GJ for four hours too, to make it equal. Ummmm...no...:no:

Hope posting this image is okay as it refutes the meme that walking down the middle of Canfield Dr. at noon on a Saturday didn't impede traffic and, anyway, there wasn't much traffic to impede. The pic clearly shows multiple apartment parking lots feeding into the spot MB died. Pic also shows the difficulty drivers, including the ambulance that arrived with sick baby in tow several minutes after the shooting, would have had getting around MB/DJ, especially as they were likely walking side by side and not single-file.

Crazy right? I too am heartbroken for OW. He is literally in prison. He can't take his child to the park, or go for a beer with friends. I wonder his many commitments in bus life he has had to bow out of due to safety concerns. I wonder how his new relationship is handling this. His friends and family as well as his brotherhood have got to Be outraged every time they hear him called a killer or a racist or they demand bus arrest and worse.

OT but does anyone happen to know what happens if the DOJ completes their investigation before the GJ? Will they announce their outcome? What happens if the outcomes are different?
