Men can be seriously weird about their baseball hats, the leaving the sticker thing has been going on for at least 7-8 years- just like Minnie Pearl.
I'm glad the big wide Charlie Brown fitting ones are losing favor, those always struck me as odd. *Kids! Get off of my lawn*
LOL

Really? Leaving the sticker on is "a thing"? As in, "I have a brand new hat, look at me!"

So, serious question. If you're in a store that sells hats like those, how do you prove you didn't shoplift the hat? SMH. Sounds like another counter culture thing, like the saggy prison pants thing.

The only thing I see a lot of at this #rams game are #Cowboys fans. Haven't seen any displays referencing #Ferguson ReplyReplied to 0 times

First BBM: Second BBM: Stating the truth when he was asked is not "distancing himself." And if the chief was truthful about not seeing OW's injuries before he was taken to hospital (and why exactly would the chief even have to "see" the injuries?), why do you insist the chief was lying about other things? The chief was truthful, imo.

And lastly, I don't remember anyone here saying they have seen OW's injuries. Where did you get that from??

JMO, but it seems to me you are pretty entrenched in your opinions that the chief is a liar, and no amount of proof or thoughtful discussion will change your mind. If so, that's fine, but it is hard to have a meaningful discussion if each side has to keep reiterating the same points with the same justification over and over. It becomes a stalemate, and conversation doesn't progress, IMO. And it kinda feels like baiting and interrupting the flow, IMO.

As I have stated over and over again- real physical evidence weighed against witnesses' statements will change my mind. Second or third hand info or anonymous leaks will not. It is very simple. I always thought real evidence matters to us here? Not sure why someone wanting to see it is a bad thing?

It is widely accepted here that the cheif "goofed" a few times- the remarks about distance and OW not knowing about the robbery- then knowing, not sure why I'd accept vague second hand info as anything truly verifiable at this point. Rumours are flying in all directions- we do not know the truth of most of it.
And yes, when the new pics of OW came out, people were saying he still looked swollen and comparing them to how he had looked before as if they had seen them. Except how he looked that day, we really do not know- do we? I do not think we do.

MOO

Last Saturday's sit-in at the Ferguson Brewery Co. is 1/4 mi. away on the same street as yesterday's Farmer's Market fracas. Both are in the nice, historic part of town, which apparently is the main target now.

I do not support these protests because they are now about everything including the kitchen sink, but will say this is a wise move on protesters part. :cow:

It makes no sense to continue trashing their own neighborhoods it is more sensible to take their protests and message (whatever it is today) to areas where they will get the attention of the patrons and citizens they most want to make uncomfortable.

Again, I do not support these protests because they are unfocused and about every perceived social ill of the poor residents in Ferguson. This IMO dilutes their cause making onlookers feel as if it is simply one big temper tantrum about every single thing those citizens do not like or perceive as unfair. But I do think it is a smart move by those organizing to take these protests to areas where those who they feel are not like them must be confronted by their "message"

Yes! I think it is the silliest thing, and have no idea why- but you know styles change and punk rock style from 35 years ago is pretty mainstream in cities. Kids today! *waving my cane*
When you buy hats, they usually have a magnetic thing that is deactivated at the register. Unless it's a cheap knock off- and then you wouldn't be keeping the sticker anyhow.
I think the baggy clothes are worse, lol. I as offered a job with an urban clothes line and I was like WHUT, ME? I can't relate to it personally, but then again I have been waiting for high waisted pants to come back after what- 25 years? I think a lot of us dress pretty quirky these days. Lots of grandmas dress up like teenagers these days- teens from the 80's , but none the less teenagers. Casual clothing has never been more casual, and the quirky little details of what makes it "cool" forever change.

Exactly! We have no idea how closely they do or do not match other witnesses' statements. That is what I have been saying all along!
Thanks.

So, you can think of nothing substantial they add to the case. At least we are starting to find some common ground. Thanks!
