Here is the accompaning comment on the pics.

To everybody stating the damn obvious saying "police aren't firefighters" Ironic, ONLY the black officer took action pic.twitter.com/aKPPnjvflz

It was already reported by the Chief that the only officer who had a fire extinguisher in his trunk tried to put out the fire. I'm sure the Chief did not tell the officer he would not try to put out the fire because he wasn't white.

They make no sense.

I saw video showing them briefly blocking in cars. Even the KKK guy was only blocked briefly before they claimed he ran over them. I didn't see any cars being surrounded and held hostage for 25 minutes! Is there video of that poor woman being held captive?

On that call in radio show that I linked last night, a caller who owns a business there called very upset, saying her customers were being intimidated and surrounded and harrassed on Saturday. And the senator and the activist denied it, and said as an example:

"there was one lady in a car with a child that had an asthma attack, and we let her through with no problem,,,,"

SERIOUSLY? Why'd the kid have the attack? Might he have been a bit stressed out with what he was seeing surrounding them? The activist sounded like she was doing THEM A FAVOR, "LETTING" them drive on the public road to a doctor with a kid with an urgent medical issue....gghhheeeeezzzzz

Ferguson protestors have become all too predictable.

New hashtag
#NoJusticeNoStreetfest

For this weekend
http://fergusonstreetfest.com/

Update, 11:19 a.m.: StreetFest is postponed indefinitely due to safety concerns, the city says.

Toni Roper, the marketing and events coordinator, says in the city's statement: "Obviously, the timing for this isn't ideal, but the safety of our residents, vendors and all participants is our main concern. We want to thank everyone for the outpouring of support that we have received and can't wait to see everyone again soon."

"Our city and our citizens and businesses must not be held hostage,"

"The actions of the protesters are costing our businesses their livelihood and our city taxes. This is their goal," he writes. "They disrupt the peace of restaurants, the Farmer's Market and traffic. They are breaking the law."

This past Saturday, a very well known female co-owner of multiple Ferguson businesses was blocked on S. Florissant road. Her vehicle was surrounded by the so called peaceful protectors taunting, cursing, calling her a white bit**. She was brought to tears. They stood in middle of the street, surrounding her vehicle, not allowing her to move. For 25 minutes she was held against her wishes as a hostage, literally kidnapped. The police were down the street a bit further handling another similar incident were a motorist supposedly bumped a protestor who was in the street blocking his path. The mob then pounded on the vehicle causing $1500 in damage (according to a local auto firm). I ask you again, is this peaceful?

This infuriates me. Matt Drudge needs to put this story on his site.

Re: OW's possible complaints

I've heard a few, but the thing is if they weren't officially documented through proper channels, not following procedure, it's too late. It wasn't worth the time and effort then seemingly, now it's a big deal? It should have been addressed when their case(s) were open, all had the chance to go to court and tell their sides.

Re: Senator
She is an unprofessional disgrace. Tweeting profanities on a public forum to Governor, smearing a man by labeling KKK while he tried to avoid civil disobedience. That entire blocking of that man's reminded me of those who get in front of people and slam on brakes for insurance $. Don't even get me started on her comment of wearing her mink coat this winter.

. bbm

Not a US senator in D.C.
Official in Mo. Senate.

Ha, yes. I know the difference (my cousin was one). Ranting clearly makes me make mistakes!

When I read this morning that the memorial was burning, I thought to myself, "how long until the police are blamed?"

Or the KKK

In Ferguson, "peaceful protestor" is an oxymoron. If they were peaceful, they wouldn't be acting like hateful racists!

And a commenter posts re newly replenished items at memorial:

"Memorial already rebuilt and continuing to grow. 4hrs later. This is community taking care of their own!" bbm

Taking care of their own w a pile of teddy bears?

And in some of the pictures there are tall votive candles, right next to cotton material hanging from a clothes line. Ready made wick. Can't anyone see that it is possibly going to happen again?

The cops did it, or KKK did it is what they're saying.

LOL, there is a six foot rough wood cross right there at the memorial, if the KKK wanted to light something on fire that's what they would have chosen.

Sorry I have to bring this over. Comment on one of the blogs about the claim police burned down the memorial.

Now there are hundreds of angry Ferguson residents demanding justice for the victimized plush bears. The plush were also rumored to have been fearfully holding their hands up just prior to the arsonist’s flamethrower targeted their stuffing.

Love the guy carefully picking up the cinders, saying he is having it tested for gasoline. So how does anyone know if he adds some fuel to it before he turns it in? Does he understand chain of custody ?

SMH

I can't help but laugh. It's not really a laughing matter, but it's beyond ridiculous.

Just saw a tweet that the Canfield Clan wants do do their own policing.

This has totally got out of hand. These ignorant hoodlums and thugs must be held accountable. Coddling them is making it worse.

So how does that work exactly? Are they going to check for warrants and unregistered vehicles? Are they going to frisk peeps for dangerous weapons?
How about domestic violence situations? Are they going to have a special number to call if a drunk guy is beating the krapp out his kid?

Oh, so the kind, gentle protesters stopping cars were actually angels of mercy
doing medical triage for passengers to determine which cars should be let thru???
Wouldn't ppl w experience like that have gone to Ferguson's recent job fair and be working in ER now? <ending sarc>
