Isn't it change of shift yet? LE should just go home and let these loons scream all night. Jmo

Was the DOJ rep the black guy w/glasses standing to Chief Jackson's left as he spoke?

No. DOJ guy was over by the tent across the street from FPD.

I think they just said some in the crowd were pushing to get to the Chief, so officers jumped in.

Where is the Chief?

Here come fire trucks! Maybe water cannons after all.

I wince whenever I think about water cannons, because so many innocent, peaceful folks were unjustifiably targeted during the Civil Rights marches back in the 60s.

But something needs to be done to quell this violence. Capt. Johnson said lawlessness won't be tolerated. Anyone threatening to kill police officers and their families needs to be arrested before they carry out their threats.

"part time cop. full time killer."

What would they do if LE chanted back something to them?

"Let our people go".

"Let our people go"

How about those people stop breaking the law and then they wouldn't get arrested in the first place.

I am just so ashamed of our leaders. Obama is the leader of the executive branch of government and Holder is (still) the top cop in the country. How can they allow their men and women in uniform to be treated this way? And to encourage it? And to sympathise with these nut jobs???

I'd love to see either one of those men try to do the job of a cop for even one day. See what it's like to have to go into a hostile situation and take on all kinds of dangers every single day, paricularly with this crowd. I mean, can you imagine what these cops lives have been like working in this community? Can you imagine what they see each day? And yet, they get up each day and go to work to protect this community to only be treated like this. To be abused, spit on, threatened, ridiculed and then the nerve of the DOJ sending in investigators to stomp down on their fine men and women in uniform.

Look, I know they aren't all perfect, and they are certainly not saints. But they are human beings and deserve our respect. No one should ever be allowed to be treated like this. The police are supposed to be a brotherhood, yet their own leaders have thrown them to the wolves.
