They hired two PR firms. One has an AA focus.

I'm sure there are several people between the two firms.

Well one of them got fired for being a convicted killer. Just crazier and crazier.

"Whose streets? Our streets!"

As if they individually own the public thoroughfares. Public property is a collective - no one can claim individual ownership of a collective.

I'm still waiting for this chant: "Whose stupidity? Our stupidity!"

Somebody please bring those officers some coffee. (I was going to say and donuts too but not cool)
At least most of them are getting OT :)

Yelling about snipers on the roof.

No doubt the snipers on the roof will be blamed for agitating & aggravating the mob, as if this mob needs a reason to be agitated & aggravated.

Earlier, they were angry because the police were merely standing still while the mob hurled threats and profanities at them.

I wonder if someone has been filming from the roof the whole time.

All I can say is read the article, then Google Ferguson hires pr firms. I'm too tired to analyze beyond what I can tell from that... they got trashed for hiring an all white firm, but that's the firm that is focused on improving race relations, and it's not the firm the convict, who's AA was from. Yeah, crazy.

I wish these people would go to bed already. I can't sleep knowing something might happen. Maybe we need a WS shift watch.

Ah, he says there are three snipers on the roof. I feel better.

Now he says they're "negotiating for hostages". :floorlaugh:

To the rioter apologists: go back and read the last thread! Look at the threats to kill the cops and their families. The request for Wilson's dead body to be brought to them. It makes no sense to come in here late, not have watched or read the posts, and start telling us what we've seen. Terroristic threats are crimes.

You've got that right! My adult brother ended up in jail for telling his druggie gf - "and don't even think about showing back up here with your drug dealer while I'm at work, or I'll kick both your asses to kingdom come!", the cops threw him in jail and gave him a $159,000 bond for a "Uttering a terrorist threat.". Because my brother lived in HIS home with the girl, he couldn't put HIS house up for bond. We had to put OUR house up for his collateral (where we were raising 4 young kids). The bond guy got to keep $16,000 cash when it was all over. There was no DV between my bro and her, none what so ever, just words. True story. She wanted to make up with my brother afterword's. You can guess how that went over with us 3 older sisters... Thanksgiving was UGGG_LEYYY!

I wish we could be sure that someone is who would show it uncut. I'm dying to go to bed, but fear something will go down without our knowing the full or real story tomorrow. :o

No, I wasn't trying to analyze it, just saw it and thought it was crazy.

What we need is an alarm that sounds if something erupts. lol

So the PR guy for Ferguson has been fired because he's a convicted killer. This story just gets stranger by the minute.

Who hired PR Firm? From above link:
"Charlie Dooley terminated my contract,” James said. James is the president of his public relation firm and has been instrumental in many of the decisions the city of Ferguson has made since the shooting death of Michael Brown.
James said ten years ago, he was convicted of reckless homicide for the shooting death of a man that he said was attempting to rob him in 2004. He was sentenced to a total of 90 days in prison and five years probation...."
"Kathryn Jamboretz of the St. Louis Economic Development says no one in the organization knew about James’ past and admits they didn’t do a background check."

reedus23 --- Good catch about termination of PR firm. TYVM.

Thought I read Ferguson hired 2 PR firms, including this one.
Since Charlie Dooley is the chief executive of St.Louis County, not sure how Dooley could terminate contract.
Maybe ^ SLED ^hired the firm? IDK.

As a commenter to that article posted:
FERGUSON HIRED A CONVICTED FELON AS THEIR PR PERSON TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT WITH THEIR RESIDENTS

Just now, the camera guy, repeating the refrain to the officers:

"None of you are safe. You will never be safe. Go get Darren Wilson, pop him in the head, drop his dead body in the street for us, and that's the only way you'll be safe."

Obviously, that's not outrageous or abnormal at all to some sorts. I guess even some old women. We've gotten more than proof of it from watching for weeks.

I'm so grateful I was brought up to know the difference between civil and despicable and have the integrity to call the latter out as unacceptable when I see it.

... Because I'd hate for my kids to live in a world sunk so low that these things are accepted as normal or no big deal.

He's no Tim Pool, that's for sure.

I miss Tim.

Captain Johnson explained why they used snipers up high, lady.

I'm either going to dream tonight of the 'talking pillows" our grade school teachers used to teach us to take turns talking, or wagons loaded with ball gags.

"There's a sniper on the roof." "There's two of 'em." Just in case you all didn't hear her. :eyeroll:

Hahahaha - one chick telling everybody to go on FB and tell everyone to come out.

As if.

Some folks have jobs to go to in the morning. I think this mob is afraid of how pathetically small in numbers they are - they're hoping to get more folks riled up, otherwise, they might have to face the fact that they're outnumbered by intelligent folks.

At least most of them are getting OT :)

Hell, if I was there I would be bringing them coffee, donuts, snickers, Gatorade, granola bars, and home made porkchops in gravy with mashed potatoes, corn, and applesauce!! Food breaks should be off-limits!

are the prots planning to stay there all the dang night? I feel sorry for LE, they must be so tired of just standing there. I saw one LE
shifting from one leg to the other, back and forth, a while ago.

Can a "peaceful protest" be given a time limitation? All that screeching, and then laughter. It is disgusting. Sounds like the prots are making fun of LE. Absolutely infuriating!

I do have another question... bambuser has been filming ~5 hours. I realize that LE can take a quick break if necessary, but, concerning the prots: Where are the porta-potties? Or . . . ?

In some 3rd world countries, where so-called protesters have no rights, this loud mouth who keeps chanting "Who ya gonna shoot?" would be one of the first people shot.

She has rights she doesn't even appreciate. She has nothing better to do than to taunt the police with her broken record chant, rather than using her energy and time to try to make a positive difference in her community.

Al66pine, read here for more background
http://www.prdaily.com/Main/Articles/President_of_PR_firm_hired_by_City_of_Ferguson_dis_17137.aspx

"the city has also been working, upon Common Ground’s request, with The Devin James Group, a black-owned firm, to spur community engagement."

Personally, Id have to learn more about the charge to be sure the guy is really so bad. It's a national firm, iirc, and he only got 90 days.

(I might get homicidal if this woman says "who you gonna shoot? The protesters?" one more time.

Holy carp! she restarted it! :floorlaugh:

:offtobed:
