Location last seen appears to be a shelter, possibly for DV victims - Harmony House.

Harmony House | All Individuals Have The Right To A Life Free Of Abuse

I suspect the huge difference in her appearance could have a lot to do with what she looked like in the throes of a an abusive relationship compared to what she looks like now that she’s getting out. Chronic anxiety, low self esteem and depression play havoc with physical health. She looks healthier, lost weight and colored her hair. MOO

The text message seems suspicious to me. Maybe someone else sent it after something happened to her?

Hard to tell what she really looks like now. The new pictures are heavily “smoothed”. Original picture shows a mole on right side (although picture could be reversed) of her face which no longer appears on the new pictures. She is also heavily made up, eyes, etc.

I hate to see so many missing posters of women who are so made up and filtered you really can't tell what they would look like if you saw them on the street. I didn't use a filter but I have to admit that on one of the last books I wrote, I used a photo that was 10 years old, just because I really liked it and it was a very flattering angle. I was on a plane and the lady next to me was reading the book. I sort of grinned and said "oh, I know the author. . . " She looked at the author photo and at me and said, "OH, are you her Mom??"

I'm so glad Hali was safely located!

Really good point. Thinking also about how important it is for many domestic abuse victims to change how they look, both for their own mental health (to not be "that person" anymore) but also to feel safer, to feel less seen. Our local shelter has hair stylists that come and do volunteer work that involves dying hair for victims in a safe space.
