I'm new here, hi everyone! I'm a Belton local. Just came across this through Facebook, haven't seen it mentioned in the thread. JR was seen a few days before she was missing with KY at a tattoo shop. He was trying to get a job there. Apologies in advance if it was mentioned and I missed it.

Thank you Gardener! I should have read the rules more closely...
As far as I understand it was after he was arrested for torching the car. This lady did say she called several times to several numbers because there was either no one answering or they didn't take her seriously. When she finally did get someone more helpful on the line they told her he was being held in Warsaw. Maybe I can search through my browser history to find her again (I know it's not allowed to share information like names etc. but perhaps she does indeed know more...

It's ok. It's confusing at first. We just can't discuss any rumors unless the news reports on them. Since he WAS arrested we can discuss that. So you think this woman on fb knew him and had been with him right before he got arrested? Is that all? You also can't say her name here unless it's in the media but we can use initials sometimes to discuss. We just want to be careful to not falsely accuse anyone or bring anyone's name into the discussion if they are not arrested for the crime. If you find out her name and find a screen shot of what she said you can call in an anonymous tip to police that you think she could know more about KY's whereabouts. Hopefully police are on top of things and have interviewed his friends and JR's friends and all the neighbors.

Hi everybody,

I've been lurking here ever since I found out there was an active thread and I've made a profile just to ask something but I'm not sure if I'm allowed because I have no proof/link or printscreen of what I saw. (BTW it's really nice to see all the effort everyone puts in!)
Here goes nothing;
In the beginning the mother of JR posted on Facebook and there were hundreds of comments. At one point there was a girl/woman who seemed desperate to get in contact with the police regarding this case, because according to her she had inside info "because her sister lived on the property where KY apparently lived" and she was worried for her. Commenters told her to call the Belton police and she wrote back after she called them that KY was in 'Warsaw jail'. - Sorry if this is difficult to understand, English isn't my native language and I sometimes have a hard time describing things as you can maybe tell ;) -
That comment later on made me think she might have been speaking the truth because not til 1 day later it was in the news he was in Warsaw.
I should have made a screenshot but I was so busy looking through comments and all that I forgot...
So my question is; did anybody else see this? The original post and comments have since been deleted.
Yes. I saw it. I need to start a folder of all the things I come across.

Hi, I'm a local that's been following this since it happened. I don't have much to add, except for some random thoughts about location distance/drive times. I'm ignoring the highways and interstates with this, as those are easy to see on the map.

Jessica's car was found on Blue RIVER Road (I'll be capitalizing certain words here for clarity, as there are several roads that have similar names). Blue RIVER Rd is not a through road, although it looks like it on the map. A section of it was washed out and badly damaged several years ago and has since been blocked off. (If you zoom in the map, it dead ends just before 435)

A person going from the party site to the burn site, who wants to stay off the interstate, has basically two options. Grandview Rd runs from the party site to the burn site, though you can't really tell by looking at a map. It's not really isolated until near the end, but you're not going to run into much traffic.

Dr Greaves to 119th/Martha Truman Dr to Blue RIVER Rd to RED Bridge Rd is much more isolated. There are few houses on that stretch of Blue RIVER and what houses there are, are set back from the road. This is because Blue RIVER runs though a park with hiking/mountain biking trails. The road has no shoulders, but there are places where someone could pull off.

Those are the only two ways to get from the party site to the burn site that aren't the interstate or well traveled.

I can't speak much to the isolation of the roads from the party to his grandfather's house, but I'd say, if they went there after the party, then either Blue RIDGE or Raytown Rd would be the most obvious choices. Blue RIDGE is smaller, but winds through neighborhoods and past businesses. Raytown Rd runs past a Corps lake, so there are no houses/businesses there. (For anyone not aware, a Corps lake is basically a man-made "lake". Basically, the government installs a dam on a river, which creates a lake that is used for flood control purposes. The land around a lake like this is owned by the Army Corps of Engineers and cannot be developed, though they are used for recreation like boating and fishing.)

Lastly, I noticed that many of the locations in Belton are west of 71/49. If a person wanted to get from Belton to the party site or burn site, and wanted to avoid 71/49, Holmes Rd would be your best bet. You can get from downtown KC to well past Belton on Holmes Rd (apparently it's marked as Route D as well). I mention this because Holmes runs right past where KY did his kitten killing.

Gardener; Real quick because I saw this thread is closing; as far as I understand she does not know KY personally but her sister does.
In the meantime I'm going to learn how to properly quote people lol
