Interesting LE is searching this area on the same day the FB account was reviewed

Police searched Thursday for missing Raymore woman Jessica Runions at an abandoned golf course ad in Belton, Mo. John Sleezer [email protected]

“Anytime they go out it’s encouraging,” said Linda Runions, Jessica’s grandmother. “We feel like when they go out, there’s a purpose
On Thursday, Thompson said investigators were examining social media, including those connected to Runions and others related to the disappearance. Examining social media is a common practice with missing persons and in other investigations.

Police say they did not get a tip for any information that she may be in that particular area. It was just part of their target search area. Crews have been searching every Thursday since her disappearance. The search will be suspended for two weeks while the Murder Squad looks into other cases. The official searches for Runions will resume in three weeks

I noticed I can now see more of the SM history on JM and KY's page - something I noticed in looking through JM's again is that she always posted photos of herself and J almost monthly, and they stopped after Feb 2016 around when KY got out of prison. KY also has a post on his page shortly after he got out where he is quoting song lyrics (it has been visible before) but I noticed now how he tagged Jessica and not J. I think he "targeted" the day he met her because she is such a lovely person :/ This doesn't really tell us anything we haven't already figured out but may be some of the kinds of clues LE is looking for. I am really curious what, if any, FB messages between KY and JR were sounding like in the weeks prior. I also am curious how they got ahold of this warrant request? Was it shared intentionally with the media or is it info coming solely from Michael Tabman? Even though the news story misrepresents Michael Tabman's role in the case (Special Agent in Charge was his title in the FBI, they make it sound like he is in charge of JR's case) I am happy he is consulting, whether directly or at least to the news media.
I had noticed that before as well, that Jessica stopped posting the photos monthly after KY was released in February. I really think that KY was infatuated with her right from the start. I personally believe that the warrant request was probably made last month at the start of the investigation and was only released to media now. Some things like warrants have an expiration date so to speak before they are released to the public, even with a case being sealed. But, I also feel that law enforcement is trying to keep Jessica's name out there so that people will still come forward if they know any little bit of info. Media coverage has increased a little here in the KC area over the last couple of weeks as well, not necessarily info from LE, but just media keeping Jessica's name out there. The searches like today's occur every Thursday according to this article, which tells me that maybe LE are allowing media to have a little bit more involvement since this one today was publicized. http://fox4kc.com/2016/10/27/police-search-underway-for-jessica-runions/

The "murder squad" is on this. They are actively investigating. We now know they have been searching weekly, in addition to the Sunday searches north of there. That is a lot to be excited about! While it carries a dark undertone - they appear to be thinking along the same lines as us regarding KY and JR being deceased - they appear to have a good idea of what to look for, and West Belton is a logical choice - KY's old stomping grounds as it were. Are the military base and housing complex still active? I would think cameras would have captured the car in that area.

What about Lloyd Loch? Is that unreasonably far? The completely unlit stretch of the parkway cutting across it has very easy access to the water from a car on both sides.

The Curbside Recycling drop-off right by the train tracks also drew my attention - just a shot over on North. There is a turnoff to access the tracks - a car could have easily driven down the side (thinking Chelsea Bruck as an example).

I have a feeling they have cellular or mobile data pinpointing that area.

Interesting article on FB yesterday plus comment by AMW, sister of person who rented trailer where KY was detained. https://www.facebook.com/fox4kc/posts/10154239246998645 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Interesting indeed. Part of me feels it's not entirely truthful. Pieces and parts maybe, but not all of it. Then again I tend to question everything so could be just me. I'm doubtful that if investigators found anything or not that they would divulge that to the sister of the trailer renter. Then again, who knows with this case. :dunno:

I don't feel like Lock Lloyd is too far...It's only about eight miles, fifteen minutes, from the location of the party/gathering on Jackson Avenue in Grandview. There does appear to be a lot of housing around the area which may have diverted KY from it, though parts of it do look more secluded with lots of trees and there's several different turn-offs to get in there.

Loch Lloyd isn't far away. In fact when I was out on Sunday I was just off Holmes road on property that backed up to Loch Lloyd land. It is pretty vast and heavily wooded in spots. With Fall here, lots of leave falling all over the ground making it doubly difficult to see what is around. As Scout87 referenced though there is housing around...and for the most part it is upscale housing with security systems, etc. That being said there are many remote spots that in the middle of the night no one would see you.

Bit of a ramble...it appears that the main scenario LE and the family are following involves JR being left behind sometime in the time frame between when she and KY left the party and he showed up for his work the following morning.

That means during that span of time, KY & JR had to get somewhere, have something horrible happen, KY had to then decide what to do, leave JR wherever
she is, and then KY had to get to his work location early that same morning. That is a lot of stuff going down in a short period of time. Also per MSM reports KY was "drunk" and sounded like he was out of control when they left party and that he was still "drunk" when he showed up for work that same morning. I honestly can't see him doing a lot of driving around. In his condition he would go to what he knows. I think he must have left her right at or very close by the first location where they went to after the party. I also think that first location must have been a spot he was very familiar with...maybe some place where he scored or sold drugs or had hung out. Do you think that when they left the party he had any plans to harm JR or was it a case of circumstances taking a turn for the worse after they left?

I think they're following that scenario as well, that whatever he did to her happened between midnight and when he showed up to work the next morning. Believe the burning of the car and the leaving town portion of the timeline was KY in panic mode as it all seems so reckless. I think that the time span they're looking at can be narrowed down even further to somewhere between midnight and two am Friday as he started texting other people around two. So I'd say about a two to three hour window of time which sounds like a small amount but a lot can still happen. Hard to say with him being drunk...some people are simply angry drunks, they function pretty well aside from the personality change. Social media comments from people who knew him say he would get drunk, go into a rage, and then come out of it within minutes and act completely normal, and then go back to acting crazy again like it was all an act. He wasn't that out of it that night as he was thinking clearly enough to start texting other people after two, I believe looking for an alibi. Could have been on an adrenaline high at that point and didn't really crash until he went home from work around 9 am. I can't find the link for the life of me, but there's also studies that suggest that people with forms of psychopathy have better control of themselves while under the influence of alcohol or drugs than "normal" people...something to do with their brain chemistry. Still believe he wouldn't have done a lot of driving around either way, as you said I think he would go to what he knows whether that is where he left Kara in 2007 or somewhere different that he's familiar with. I think that the events that transpired after they left the party were the result of an apparent build up for KY, whatever other events during the week or whatever else happened at the party, something tipped him over the edge of just basic irritation/anger and into rage. He may not have planned to hurt her, at least not at the beginning of the night. As witnesses from the party stated, he said he was in love with her, he wanted to marry her and have kids with her...I don't think that by any means what he did was an accident, just that this wasn't something that he had planned out, at least not prior to the party. This may have been the first time that Jessica was witness to his rageful temper and tried to distance herself from him. I think he scared her, and she tried to either calm him down or told him she needed to distance herself.

Just saw on FB where Jessica's mother stated that the new media reports of the searches on Thursday and the warrants for social media are not new information to the case and that there are NO new leads.

Well, its new to us. It is important for the media to report everything they can, and I am glad they did. I am not sure she is really being told what new leads there may be, especially if the FBI is involved, so there is that to consider. Hopefully they get more solid information in the coming weeks!!

I used to look forward to Halloween for the pumpkins and costumes, but this year I eagerly await KY's hearing.

Every little bit of information counts .... Agree the family is being left in the dark as well, there are most likely good reasons behind it you do not want to show all your cards
