Wow it sounds like he stole the money to kill Jocelyn from the school and from dance students field trip fund. Glad he was finally arrested.

"... Court documents claim Green sent Cutler $2,500 in cash March 20, and left Cutler his car and keys, including a key to Peters’ apartment, when he left on a train trip to Chicago. That car was spotted on surveillance video on Peters’ street about 3 a.m. the day Peters was found, and Cutler’s cellphone record show it was nearby at the time, court records show.."

“A federal grand jury has indicted a former St. Louis middle school principal and his friend on murder-for-hire charges for the shooting death of a teacher and her unborn child in 2016, prosecutors said Thursday.

Cornelius M. Green, the principal, and Phillip J. Cutler are already facing charges in state court for the death of Joceyln Peters.”

Cornelius Green was the principal of Carr Lane Visual Performing Arts School while Jocelyn Peters was a teacher at Mann Elementary. Green was married but was having an affair with Peters, according to KMOV.

In 2015, Peters became pregnant with Green’s child. Around the beginning of 2016, Green forged a plan to kill Peters, who was 27 weeks pregnant at the time. He contacted his childhood friend Phillip Cutler and offered to pay him to commit the crime.

Green allegedly stole $2,500 from the middle school to seal the deal. On March 21, 2016, Cutler traveled to St. Louis from Oklahoma and stayed at Green’s house.

To create an alibi, Green took an Amtrak train to Chicago the next day, leaving the man the keys to his car and keys to Peters’ apartment. Cutler broke into Peter’s house and shot her in the head while using a potato as a silencer to muffle the sound, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.

Under the plea agreement, if Green is sentenced to life in prison on the federal charges, the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office will drop state charges connected with the killings, which prosecutors had said they'd seek the death penalty.

Boyfriend charged in connection with murder-for-hire of pregnant teacher
"A friend of Green, 35-year-old Phillip Cutler, was charged in June with two counts of first degree murder and two counts of armed criminal action."
W a quick search, I did not find the final resolution for Cutler.
