Other Stmt by Richard re Viewing Video
It says here, police told him.
"A little while later security footage shows Forsyth’s car pulling into the aquatic park parking lot. A white SUV showed up a few minutes later and parked near him, Richard said. “It leaves a few minutes later and [John] is seen walking around maybe 10 to 15 minutes after that,” Richard said police told him. “And then he walks away from his car.”"
And yet this article states they viewed the video footage. Sigh…..
ETA: This is a later article, so poss it is more accurate?
@neesaki Thank YOU too for quote & link,

"Sigh" is right. But as you said, could be a later stmt or interview.

Private Funeral for Family. Public Vigil. Any Obituary?
"...The family had a private funeral Saturday, followed by a public vigil Sunday night in a park in Monett just north of Cassville. There, about 40 people, mostly family members, lit memorial candles and shared poignant and humorous stories about him...."*

Not uncommon to have a private funeral and other open-to-the-public, usu.'ly larger event/service.

40, mostly family.
[ETA: @nhmemorymaker Whoops, missed reading your comment about turnout before posting this.]

My quick search did not locate an obituary. Anyone?

If he was meeting someone (which I believe LE would know), could all have went how it was supposed to but the white car have parked elsewhere afterwards and that person have caught up with him? That wouldn’t really explain why he walked into the woods though. I’m leaning toward suicide.

This case is maddening. Made all the more so by the long wait for the autopsy report.

Furthermore, we have the tantalizing clue of the white SUV that either has everything or nothing to do with the case.

Waiting for answers is frustrating enough for those of us who never even met this man. Imagine how his loved ones must feel.

With (about) nine days between disappearance and discovery, COULD have been killed just about anywhere (like someplace where there was very little risk of detection).
Yes, absolutely, could have been anywhere.

It requires about 4 - 6 days, depending, for a body to produce enough gases in order to float to the surface of the water.

May 21 - reported MP
May 30 - found by kayaker in Beaver Lake, 9 days later

And that same camera would / should have shown who got in his car and drove it away. Was it him, alone? Or someone else who showed up?
He’s was initially speaking a bit freely but doesn’t give that information. Unless LE didn’t share that with him.
I don't know where Dr. F parked his car at the hospital. I assume it was in the same area as the RV. I don't think anyone has said anything that supports the idea that the any camera caught Dr. F at his RV or getting in his car either alone or with someone.

...We have heard nothing about video or cameras that capture the disposal area where the Dr.'s car was found. I am confident that if there was surveillance of the disposal area, Richard would have said so.

I am no longer confident about almost anything I have said or thought about this case so far. Another poster has said that they believe cameras at the Aquatic Park actually did capture the disposal area and that the white SUV/ black car stuff Richard speaks about IS actually at the disposal area and not in the parking lot. I am starting to think this may be true.

Richard "now says the footage shows that a few minutes after the doctor parked his car, a white SUV arrived, then left shortly afterward. About 10 or 15 minutes after that, the doctor got out of his car and walked away, never to be seen alive again, Richard Forsyth said."

If the footage referred to was of the parking lot, that leaves Dr. F abandoning his vehicle in the parking lot. So how/when was the car moved to the disposal area? Surely Richard would have shared that info because it adds an interesting new questions. Richard's comments make sense if the footage covered the disposal area and he was talking about Dr. F, or the person that got out of his car, walking away, never to be seen again.

Quoting this recent AP Article

So, this confirms a big question we've had for a while. He really was a "Bitcoin millionaire," but seemingly barely. The couple split $1.6 Million in crypto.

Richard also says this

interesting details on financials.
Did they split $800,000 or $1.6 million in crypto ? I thought their total holdings were $800,000 before the split.

With all the publicity over this case, I am actually quite quite surprised at the small turnout. I dunno.... I really wonder if this is correct... ???

"The family had a private funeral Saturday, followed by a public vigil Sunday night in a park in Monett just north of Cassville. There, about 40 people, mostly family members, lit memorial candles and shared poignant and humorous stories about him."

I was surprised and quite sad for the family that the vigil was so poorly attended.

Do you think maybe they are saying the aquatic parking lot ,is where the camera picked up his car, but it parked behind the fence not in the parking lot ,and that’s why it’s so blurry? Moo

I'd like to know if the GPS was programmed with the way to get where the car ended up - or did John know the way, as if having been there before?

oh, nice catch. after re-reading i believe you are correct. it was $800,000 before the split. I can't edit the original comment... shucks.

I also thought I read somewhere, that when the autopsy was finished the police would have him officially identified? I’ve never heard anything about that happening either? Did family even view the body ? I’ve also heard Cassville utilize white SUV ‘S ?

Snipped from the AP article posted up thread...

...So far, authorities have not publicly indicated whether they believe he was murdered, shot accidentally or took his own life.

BBM above....

shot accidentally?!?

Is it possible the security video is a lot less clear after dark? Is the area lighted?

I saw the article where they said they searched the lake extensively. Did they ever say if any evidence, like a gun, was found? I don't remember seeing a definitive statement either way.

I did some snooping around and located a white SUV indeed are being utilized in a certain capacity - by the state. Missouri State Highway Patrol. Does the city use white SUVs, too?

Maybe I could find the image again. Here it is:

Their lips are sealed...

Also snipped. from AP article..
...They have not said whether they found the gun that was used or whether the SUV was related to Forsyth’s disappearance.

An Accidental Shooting?

shot accidentally?!?
@tarabull Welllll, it's a possibility.
Authorities just going thru laundry list of possibilities and afaik, not saying any one of those is a probability.

But in context of info LE has publicly released and what MSM has published, accidental shooting is a verrrry distant third on my list of likely causes. jmo
