Dr. F. Used RV When On-Call at Hospital.
@tarabull Thx for your post w link.
“He really cared about his patients,” Richard Forsyth said, adding that his brother stayed in his RV near the hospital when he was on-call. “And he loved his kids.”

RV was "NEAR the hospital." Per brother.^

RIP Dr. Forsyth.
Condolences to his family & friends.

BTW, some hospitals provide parking spaces w hookups for water, electrics, and propane gas for RV's. Sometimes the spaces are outfitted for intended for long term patients' families (who may live at far distances, so daily trips to visit are a hardship); or for travelling nurses/med personnel (who may stay on contract w hosp. for, say, a month or two). Maybe other reasons too.

When a doc on call wants to catch some zzz's, which would be better?
1. Hosp room, also used by others/staff, where doc might not be able to safely, conveniently keep own personal change of clothing & hygiene supplies, favorite snacks, etc. Maybe noisy too. or
2. Personal RV w ^all amenities^ plus other comforts of home, & peace & quiet, except phone & texts, and able to sleep in own bed.

Some may choose Door #1, but Door #2 for some others.

“Dr. [John] Forsyth was found deceased, in the water, with what appears to be a gunshot wound,” a spokesperson for the sheriff’s department added. “Benton County Detectives are working this death investigation alongside Barry County Sheriff’s Office, Cassville Police Department, and Missouri State Police. This is an active investigation and no further information will be released at this time.”

“My brother is dead. He’s been found,” Richard Forsyth told The Daily Beast on Tuesday evening.

I'm sure that LE is searching the water for the weapon.

I noticed a butterfly land on Richard's shoulder while he was talking about his brother

Oh my!!! The butterfly landed right when Richard was talking about the white vehicle.... the butterfly left JUST as he finished talking about said white vehicle...

Is there a way his body could have traveled that far by water?

This!
I'm not sure. I've never been there, don't know the currents, etc. But possible especially if there was Memorial weekend boat traffic. Which brings up another question ... I'd think he'd be seen if he was in the water for the weekend instead of just showing up on Tuesday.

This is Lost Bridge South Park and he was found across the water from here

It's possible he was transported to where his body was found.

Also, I'm super interested in this white SUV now, bc i had assumed it had helped him escape.

Sadly, it sounds like the crypto drama is involved.

Lots of water --- rivers, lakes, reservoirs---in so. MO. and no. AR, but w a quick look at maps, I'm not seeing a direct waterway connection between Cassville. MO. & Lost Bridge St. Park in AR.

Could be missing it.

I was looking for that too. I didn't see any connecting water either. I am in the camp of suspicious death not by suicide. Hope the family will get the answers!

I have been there, there is no navigable water route from Cassville to the lake. The creeks/rivers that feed Beaver lake from the north side are pretty much dry creeks at the Missouri border. They come in a little West of Cassville, the water from Cassville heads toward Table Rock lake which is right below Beaver Lake. It is borderline drought there now. We cancelled our Memorial day camping trip this past weekend because we couldnt get a reservation at the camp we go too. Pretty shocking that he wasn't found over the weekend, that is a busy lake.

This article says Dr Forsyth's brother told LE that he had been kidnapped before.

According to the grieving brother, Forsyth was mysteriously kidnapped and released in February 2022.

Quote about a previous kidnapping:

“It was cold. He was zip-tied. He was made to feel very unsafe and taken on a car ride with some people to a bridge and he was threatened,” Richard said.

Richard, who said he only found out about the alleged kidnapping from a friend after his brother went missing, shared that a police report was never filed.

This story is getting crazier. I didn't know he just got engaged a few days before he disappeared. That kind of leads me away from suicide.

I came here to report the same thing. This is a very curious case.

Ummm. You’d think that would have been released before? Or at least on the ‘this very well could be foul play’ side of things when he went missing?

His brother, Richard Forsyth, said the family had been gathered together eating dinner Tuesday night when a state police officer came to the door to share the tragic news.

“We’re devastated,” Richard told Fox News Digital, noting he did not think the cause of death was suicide.

“There’s no way he killed himself,” he said. “Many times he mentioned he might be in danger.”
*eta:
His body was found by a kayaker in the water across from the area near Lost Bridge South Park, according to the statement. The park is roughly 26 miles from Mercy Hospital in Cassville, Missouri, where he worked as an emergency room physician.

Hopefully, this information was shared with local LE when he first went missing. Such an unusual situation.

Thank you so much. You’ve helped me process this nightmare. Last night I was grappling with coming to terms with suicide, but I can’t. I expect we will learn more in the coming days.

I’ve been in your shoes, I’m sorry. I promise you that this will get better. His memory will be a blessing.

I think there will be very knowledgeable experts around you and your family that will give you excellent advice and explanations that will help.
