MISSING CHILD/ENDANGERED

We are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Josiah Ueltzen.

Josiah was last seen with his non custodial mother Sarah Goodman around 6:00 p.m yesterday evening (Oct 20) in the 300 block of South 5th Street in a light colored older model SUV.

Our agency was contacted at approximately 1500 hours today to file a missing persons report by the Division of Family Services after contact was lost with Goodman.

Possible areas for location are the Elsberry, Hannibal and Troy Missouri areas.

Please contact 911 immediately if you see this vehicle, and do not attempt to approach or make contact.

Josiah is described as a 6 year old white male unknown height and weight, last wearing a dark colored shirt and dark pants.

We are in contact with the Missouri State Highway Patrol for the issuance of an Endangered Persons Advisory.

The Elsberry Police Department has issued an Endangered Person Advisory in relation to a 6-year-old boy after he was taken from home by a non-custodial parent.

Officials say they are searching for Josiah Ueltzen and his mother, 44-year-old Sarah Goodman.

Officers say they are searching for a white 2017 Ford Edge, which is believed to be connected to Josiah and his mother’s disappearance.

That vehicle–bearing a GL9U6U license plate from Missouri–was last seen traveling eastbound on Gravois Road and Demaree Street near Elsberry.

Endangered Person Advisory issued for boy taken by non-custodial mother

Police said Josiah Wayne Ueltzen, 6, was taken from a home in Elsberry by his mother Sarah Goodman, 44.

Josiah has blonde hair, blue eyes, and was last wearing a dark colored short sleeve shirt and pants. Ueltzen is 5 feet, 7 inches tall and 155 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes.

I checked criminal/family court records in Lincoln County to see why she may have lost custody. There is a Sarah Christin Goodman, from Lincoln County age 44 with 2 prior drug charges going back 11 years, one of which resulted in her being incarcerated 2 years after her probation was revoked. Update: Added Inmate photo which matches her missing photo. MODOC Offender Search The date on it was 3/2019, which means that her son was likely conceived right after she was released.

Misdemeaner infractions not included except for 2023 one with current address - none are related to safety of driving, drugs, or alcohol. Possible case still pending 22MR-CR00508-01 (updated after a warrant in 2024, but not currently showing in system as open OR closed)

All cases were in Lincoln County for a Sarah Christine Goodman, Year of birth 1980. Addresses included for most current records; the older addresses were in Springfield, MO.

NOTE: The Missing Child is not the only child she has. There is a court ordered judgement against her for child support dated 2014.

Thanks for your kind words. I updated my post to show an inmate photo I found which matches her "missing" photo in the thread opening. She was released from incarceration in 2019 which means her missing son was likely conceived right after that, if he's six now. MODOC Offender Search
