This case needs a recon. I volunteer feeding the unhoused here in KC and would like to distribute it among the volunteers of the organization. I think this could get him identified.

Investigators determine victim died of homicide months after human remains found in Kansas City
Is this about him? The article is blocked in my country can anyone copy-paste
From the link (snipped by me):

“More than five months after an Evergy worker found human remains in a wooded area near 34th and Roanoke Road, detectives are now investigating it as a homicide.

…Jackson County Medical Examiner’s Office …determined the victim suffered injuries which are considered suspicious.”

Michael R Montijo aka Mike Montijo? Was last seen in South Carolina (where he lives) but seemingly vanished without a trace. Originally thought he was a John Doe in Summerville SC (town not far from where he was last missing) but the Facebook page that his brother made to bring awareness to this case said that he is a huge Kansas City fan. Mike is ex Navy so DNA should be on file. Height is a little off (5'7- 6'2 vs 5'5) Age fits as well (55 when missing, UID age 40-70).
