Also on another note when we were trying to come up with other missing teens from the area we came up with one missing since 12/06 - searching last night trying to find info about her I came up with some recent activity called the Missing and Exploited children hotline, talked to a case worker and gave them the website they pulled it up and agreed it was her and was contacting local law enforcement. So hopefully that one will have a good ending.

:waitasec: So one of the missing teens was accessing her website, you mean? How could they determine it was her online? I guess I am confused. :crazy:

I am one of those lurkers who have been silently reading for quite some time now. But right now I feel SO HELPLESS AND UPSET that it is taking (imo) too long to know if this is Kara or not that has been found!

I went to Court TV in case they might have had breaking news on this story and they are "closed" for the holiday weekend except for certain board(s).

I am praying and hoping that this is not Kara, but then that would mean another parent's anguish. How does one pray for it not to be............and then also pray for it not to be any others????

If I've said anything wrong as a poster, please letl me know.

Not just accessing the website, but current blogs about what was going on with her and current photos and being tired of moving all the time etc. In reality it could be someone else logging into her account and posting all that but the case worker thought it was to personalized to be that and it at least gives law enforcement a place to start I guess.

Welcome, Littledeer~ It is always difficult to wait during this part of it. Knowing it could be her and hoping it isn't is sheer anquish for everyone following the case. You aren't alone in feeling helpless and being upset. All you can really do is keep Kara and her family plus the families of other missing children awaiting word with them in your thoughts and prayers. Hugs~

Ah, OK! Job well done, Busylady!!! WTG! It probably is her and hopefully they can return her home or find out why she chose to leave in the first place. Bless her and her family. I hope they will find those answers together and work things out.

Hi Indy!! I watched the video and it does appear that he has been crying and when they asked if they could rule out Kara it was a strong no. Is he someone that has been working very closely on her case? Also, they ruled out the other teen using the dental records but could still not rule out Kara, this does not sound good at all. I read a theory about her going home and changing clothes, if that was the case would mom have not found the outfit she had last been seen in the dirty clothes? The only thing really throwing me off is that outfit, do you think that she may have left home for a brief period and then met with foul play? I started following this case only last week when I joined WS so forgive me if I am not up to speed on everything

The 36th and topping area is high drug and prostitution area. Been a bad area for years and doesnt seem to be getting any better though they have tried to organize all different kind of programs and such to improve the area.

He has that weary look and does appear more than normal emotionally upset. Thanks for the link. Her father seems to be trying to find a neutral space to be able to deal. Prayers for everyone involved in bringing Kara home.
