SS, I am confused at how i feel. I dont know if I should be happy or not. While it is good news this isnt Kara, it just means she is still out there somewhere. I for one DO NOT think she ran away.

That's exactly what I thought too, where is Kara?

I know exactly how you feel, Indy! To be honest, I really thought this would be Kara because of the locale and other indications. It just made sense in a way. Now we see that Belton, MO has some real issues with supposed runaways and missing!! What IS going on in that area?! Why are they hiding their missing children behind the curtain of "runaway" status?

Seriously, although it is good that the body wasn't Kara, if this is a murder victim, this tells us there is someone out there (and it still could be Hall who did this if killed before his arrest) killing people.

I just had a horrible thought. Several girls in that area missing and remember during Kelsey's case they had other attempted abductions in that general area? Just wondering if whoever this female is could Kara and or the other girls be victims and are in the area as well.

Two cases come to mind from the crime library where females where held against their will, etc. I can't remember the case names but I'm sure most here will know which ones I'm talking about anyway.

Yes he came to my mind right away not only because of location but this is the same way he dumped Kelsey. They found her not to far off the road in high grass, weeds.

I've never believed Kara was a runaway and I noticed that's how the other four girls are listed yet three of them say they are suspected of leaving with a male. They could certainly put out more info on who these males are.

Good idea, we can go there to check for updates on who the body is since we know it isn't Kara.

Yes, I agree. They should treat them as missing first...runaways second. Get the information out there in case they are wrong!

There was one recently where a girl was almost abducted the same way as Kelsey Smith in Independence, only he was thwarted and got away. At least there's a description of him and his vehicle. Any further news on that one? Has he been found?

I leave for a while to take care of my father and come back....

It's not Kara!!!!!! I don't want to say I'm relieved, because that would make me relieved that it was some one else's daughter. It's obvious that it's going to take me some time to be able to handle these cases and the outcomes that you WS's have handled for a while now.

I don't think so. She was almost forced into her car like Kelsey.

I just saw the video for the first time today of Kara in the school as she was leaving class. Was this all discussed on the first thread??? Don't want to start something that has already been discussed in detail. (Meaning what looked like to me a little tiff with the other girl before she walks up the steps and the 2 young men in the background watching).

Thanks for not taking offense to what I said. Or course I should have read everything before I said anything. I did read alot before I finally became a registered user here.

But I lost it today when I read that Kara might have been found and spoked for the first time on WS.

I will read more before I say anything and hopefully be able to contribute something worthwhile. I will also do the same on the site for the Stanley Sisters which I have been following with much distress. (As a parent, I can't even imagine losing 2 daughters within a week)!!!!!

In the meantime, all you "seasoned" WS's KEEP SLEUTHING!!! You really
are all amazing!
